Yeah, I thought it was her ego writing checks her ass couldn't cash. Especially considering how sure they were that hill-dawg was going to win. I didn't catch the "muh first woman president" thing

I think I remember reading an interview with RBG where she was talking about how Sandra Day O'Connor was pressured into retiring before she was ready, and RBG blamed it on "sexism." She drew parallels between O'Connor, and people calling for her to retire during Obama's second term, implying that it was "sexist" to suggest she should retire. I wonder if her chemotherapy is helping her to defeat sexism.

I think she's the Joe Paterno of the Supreme Court.

She was/is afraid that if she retires that she'll die or that no one will care about her.

Lol. Well she'll be remembered as one of the ultimate Karens. Should have ducked out before being a white woman in power wasn't "diverse enough"

Well Hollywood has been trying to enshrine her of a while now. Plays Documentaries and even putting her in kids films.

Though I will say the recent Scooby-Doo film did a decent flip on it making it a Harry Potter Slytherin joke. But still what child is going to know who she is much less care they are in their movies.

I've read that if you dig into her early years, she had some beliefs about race that were, shall we say, the norm of her time. These may have impacted her decision to not step down under Obama.

This was years ago, could've been entirely made up by others, and even if true has likely be scrubbed well enough from google and the like that it would be hard to verify. So take it with two liberals' tears worth of salt.

And why didn't Obama appoint new district judges?

I think it's because they no longer cared about the courts. The plan was to bring down America through war, disease, insurrection, invasion, and surrender.

Dems always bet on some 3 point fade away at the buzzer. Its hard to make little changes in government, they were busy rat-fucking healthcare/health insurance and probably didn't have the neurons required to fill vacancies. Judicial appointments aren't "sexy" to dems either. They were in no rush because they knew jeb couldn't beat hill-dawg. Glad we're filling those seats!

Good point. There's also the possibility that they wanted a shortage of judges, so the courts would be overwhelmed, and thus unable to deal with asylum claims in a timely manner, allowing the illegal aliens to run free in the mean time.

Yeah, otoh, I wouldn't be surprised if hill-dawg wanted obama to leave em for her so she could $ell them better

What is the benefit of having fewer district judges?
