Not a good sign. Anytime it recurs you're basically dealing with the cancer cells that survived the other treatments, and even in my short time on my oncology rotations I never even heard about someone who beat the odds beyond 3 years.

Averages say she's got 9mo-1yr, but it's impossible to speculate since we know nothing of her medical file or what the met lesions looked like.

Though I have a really hard time believing she's "going full steam" at nearly 90, after a major infection + surgery, and currently on chemo. I've seen children with that profile and on the best days they can walk outside for a few hours.
