From the outside, definitely agree. I wonder if part of her reason is...what else does she have at this point? She was born in 1933. That makes her 87 this year. What would she do after retirement at this point? She's not gonna go windsurfing in Hawaii.

We all need meaning. I don't agree with her politically on many things, but I get why she'd keep going to the bitter end, even without any partisan aspects of wanting a Democrat president to name her replacement.

If she did want to retire and stuck it out for politics, then that's on her if she doesn't get to enjoy her remaining (years? months?) time doing something else.

One would think that a Supreme Court Justice would have the wisdom and foresight to retire with plenty of life left in them, rather than dying in shambles on the beach.
