Somebody clear this up for me, never been on unemployment but did get the stimulus check, been working through this whole shit storm and my buddy who quit who worked with me (or was fired I should say for terrible performance) has been getting unemployment and making more than I have. Ironically he asked to borrow $50 and it’s been 2 weeks since he promised he’d pay the next day when his “check cleared”. Saw him wasted at the bar and he almost started a fight with a couple of our friends for being so drunk. Then he Shoved his dads buddy who was there, real shit show. He told me to shut my fucking mouth when I was trying to calm him down, and he’s not a big guy, he thinks he can take on people twice his size but our buddy was gently manhandling him and he’s smaller than I am.
Anyways, if he can’t pay me back or hold down a very easy job, how the hell is he going to pay taxes on this shit? And do I have to pay tax on the stimulus which I used to but a handgun on these trying times?
First of all, you're friend sounds like a dickhead. He is going to owe the IRS. And pretty sure you don't pay taxes on the stimulus, but it gets held against next year's tax credits/deductions
Thanks for the heads up on the stimulus check. And you’re right he’s super entitled, whined like a bitch when I answered his call tonight saying I had other plans and can’t take him where he wants to go when he could have gone there on his own as he has a car. He just wanted to meet up with us to go somewhere we didn’t want to go so he could hook up with one person while we wouldn’t know anybody there. No logic to it. Of course he was personally offended when I said no and he hates trump for reasons he can’t explain, funny cause he claims to be all about the groups interests not the individuals yet the group didn’t want to deal with his shit.
But thanks for that, I’ll be sure to get my finances in order and see if how I can maximize deductions for the check, even if out of pocket, was totally worth buying this gun. Had a dead kid turn up in our apts loading dock few weeks ago and bullet fly through window on 18th floor.
But I’m gonna tellem he needs to check into rehab, He’s been holding our friends in emotional limbo by vaguely threatening his own life. I know he doesn’t mean it but I’m not taking that chance, and there’s only so much we can all do. It’s fucking with our own lives and frankly we are sick of hearing the cry wolf bullshit but would never forgive myself if I dismissed it and he followed through.
