Unless you make them matter. So thats my take if you have not made your life matter to me why would I care. I don't expect someone in Bangladesh to give a shit about me either. Proximity adds to the amount I care. My neighbors I know them they matter the guy two blocks over he matters less to me. My cousin in Wisconsin his family and him matter to me but his neighbor can kick rocks I don't know them. Trump,Obama, and even Rosie O'donnel have made themselves matter beyond their own sphere. So they get some smattering of attention but it will very greatly based on idealogical choices that individual has made.
