I would suggest that we call someone in from Twitter to sit before Congress, but first we need to explain the Internet to like 70% of Congressional Republicans. Good for Missouri for taking the chance on the young guy.
Don't for a moment think they're stupid. For example, Al Gore gets shit on by edge lords for supposedly "inventing the internet", when in reality as a policy maker he pushed for the funding and development for ARPANET. These people always knew the potential of the internet, they knew the potential of social media for societal control, and they think of it in high level terms. So they might not know (or care) about the technical details of how any of it works, but they realize that cell phones mean everyone will have a microphone, camera, and tracking device in their pockets, that social media means they'll have access to your private thoughts and discussions, and that the internet can be used as the next generation of television and radio for pushing propaganda and tracking your behavior.
I think it's very dangerous to underestimate them.
Very very well said. One of my biggest peeves is when people give these criminals the benefit of the doubt by calling them dumb. They’re FAR from dumb, the are fully and completely aware of what’s going in n, they’ve just been paid handsomely to stay quiet.

Al Gore was largely responsible for the deregulation of the Internet, which is what allowed it to explode into what it is today.
Very good points.
