A good ad. It won't work on the liberals of course, asking a liberal to engage in introspective thought is like trying to read Shakespeare to a house pet. All you'll do is waste your breath and your time.

Uh, excuse me, but if I were to read Shakespeare to my dogs, at least they would appreciate spending the time with me, even if they couldn't comprehend the material. Strangely enough, one of the most rabid leftists I know is a HS Shakespearean literature teacher. When Saint Floyd suffered the fentanyl induced heart attack and died, she was doing drawings of him to help ease her pain, and atone for her white privilege. Of course she had to post them on her FB page to virtue signal. I generally wouldn't care less about that, but she has a ton of students as FB friends and never stops spewing that garbage. If I were a parent of one of her students I'd be pissed.

Yeah, having students as your FB friends seems to me a mark of immaturity. I was an English teacher for 16 years. No students on my FB. I care about them, and I'll communicate with them if they want, but I'm not adding them as "friends" so I can blitz them with my views even outside the classroom.
The district where I live, being Facebook friends with a student is a fireable offense. She's probably in some liberal hell hole where teachers can't be fired, but it's something to look into.
I think it is a fine thing for students and teachers to be friends.

A little off topic, but I highly recommend that the language buffs among us look up videos about people who perform Shakespeare in their reconstructed original circa-1600 pronunciation. It's such a pleasure to listen to; it doesn't sound like modern British, which has diverged much more than American English has. It sounds like Irish English with a mixture of American and Scottish English thrown in. It's amazing!
