You have to share a LOT of personal data with banks in order to open a new account. Not to mention the time spent opening and closing. I'd rather keep my information private than waste my time and take their dirty money.

I can respect that. But if, for example, you already have a Bank of America credit card or something, might be a good idea to take their money.
