Thing is, it also reduces the spread of droplets to simply sneeze or cough into your shoulder, crook of your arm, a tissue, etc. You don't need a face diaper to accomplish the same thing. And masks may reduce droplets, but there is no solid evidence that it impacts the spread of the virus itself since the particles are significantly smaller, especially if you're using anything other than an N95 mask and/or using the mask more than once (which we all know is likely the case for most people).

I completely agree that this is tame though. Even by flu standards it's pretty mild for most that do show symptoms. And just like with any illness, there will be outliers that unfortunately get the short end of the stick.

Except the size of the covid bacteria is small enough that 99 percent of the masks people are wearing cannot stop the covid droplets.
