I can just imagine them going in there and seeing that ridiculously tacky art and just being like, “you know what... don’t even bother, we’ll just turn this into a storage closet or something.”
The Obamas did as much as they could to get rid of traditional, historical styles and colors in the house and put in a lot of casual browns and tans. They clearly hated the traditional style and wanted to subvert it, plus they seem to have awful taste.
The Old Family Dining Room was a lovely room until the Obamas made it hideous.

I don't blame them. It was such a nice room and now it's just awful. Oh well, that can all be fixed - hopefully in the second term.
I like the 2010 room.
It looks like the 1963 room, just updated.
But the 2015 room looks...weird. Sterile. Uncomfortable.

That modern art looks like the Ukrainian Flag and the American Flag.
