I spent way too long in the MSNBC bubble shit show, and bought into everything - including the Russia gate, impeachment circus, Kavanagh witchhunt and supposed take over of the supreme court.
I don't think I would have opened my eyes, if not for the BLM scam and the new heights of the main stream media scam. It was only when some CNN reporter was claiming that the white supremacists were looting everywhere, but all the live streams I was watching showed otherwise (to put it mildly), that I started to feel the doubt.
Then with the recent supreme court rulings, and the conspiracy theory for justifying why these rulings were against Trump even though apparently he had them in his pockets - things just started to become too hard to ignore.
That's when I started looking for more unbiased sources of news, and found them in some small podcasters and youtubers who weren't afraid to report the truth. No, I am still not a full Fox news watcher, but I do catch Tucker Carlson because he seems to be one of the few who knows how to report facts and then provide his opinion separately.
The Statute destructions, CHAZ, mayors and city councillors from hell who tell us that safety and comfort is a white privilege - those were the final nails in the coffin.
Being a POC and never having see any systemic racism whatsoever - whats going on right now is a travesty. I was talking a friend (who has always been a liberal) whose kids have been so badly brainwashed that he cannot even talk to them - and that just makes me sad.
Anyway, I stumbled on you guys (since you all had mysteriously vanished from reddit) and thought I would say hi, and tell you guys that I owe an apology for thinking you all are crazy white supremacists! Crazy part is probably true hehe, but man, when someone called me a white supremacist I knew that perhaps I was not the first one to be shame-labelled.

But I will be honest - if media gave Trump a fair shake, I will be the first to criticize a lot of things he has said/done. But I will also be the first one to appreciate the things he has achieved (in face of such blatant hostility). I really wish the country gives him the same chance for the next 4 years that they all gave Obama for 8 years.
Man, the biggest problem I have with Trump is that he should never have tried to hamper any investigation in anyway. There was nothing to obstruct. He could have played it real cool - let Comey do what he wanted to do, and there would be no Meuller. Flynn would have been mildly rebuked, and they could have gone on the offensive against the FISA warrant and shut the whole thing down to focus on the real agenda.
I actually read the Flynn transcript just recently. After 3 years of believing he was a scheming monster. It was just one sentence, during a whole conversation. And technically, there was nothing wrong with it. He could have simply owned up to it to FBI - and the worst that could have happened was a big headline in MSNBC.
Maybe, but maybe not. They were willing to outright lie with no limits in sight, so Trump has some method to his madness. A lot of what he does that is irksome actually sabotages these horrible people, and the press cannot handle it. Even down to his misspelled tweets and "covfefe", it keeps his enemies chasing cars while he gets work done.
Think a bit deeper. Hes playing 5d chess on those assholes.
A case could be made for that, considering he has delivered pretty much all the key promises he mad, while keeping the media obsessed with Russia-gate ... if that is the case, his tirades and apparent temper is all an act. I do want to believe that, and if in November he comes back with a landslide again, I will be inclined to believe that.

Thanks mate. Actually I am not an American :) I am Aussie, but I spent may years in US during the heydays, and those are my fondest memories. Most of my friends are there, and I consider America to be my second home. Hell, I follow American politics more closely than our own circus here.

My brother and my parents are all safe. My wife is even more unwoke than me. My son has had a dose of anti-male wokeness in his school, so he knows what these people are like. So all my immediate loved ones are safe.

Thanks! I have an interesting take on MAGA. I am sure you all have seen the meme about "When was America great? During slavery? During Jim Crowe?" etc. I used to push this bs as well.
But I just realised what makes America uniquely great. When they formed the country, they got rid of slavery (while the rest of the world has been following it millenia). When they saw Jim Crowe laws, they did the civil rights. They opened their arms to the migrants. Anyone from anywhere in the world could land in US, and the same oppurtunities are opened up to them.
Its not where America ever was. Its where it has always been headed. Thats what makes America great, then, now and in future.

Never heard of this guy, just started watching. Holy shit! I just came to the part about Trump apparently mocking the disabled reporter - its just mind blowing.
Recently I watched Trump having to explain the incident where media reported that he couldn't walk off the podium after saluting 600 times, and then just couple days ago how everyone misrepresented "science shouldn't stand in the way of reopening schools" - now the pattern fits.

Thanks mate. I was a bit nervous before joining this site, given how badly the_donald has been maligned by pretty much every main stream site. I was half expecting to be set upon by angry wolves, but so far only puppies. It does feel nice to be able to have a productive discussion so easily.

Welcome. I belong to a crayon box family (all colors). I was called a White supremacist and a Nazi by a long-time friend because I support free speech. If everybody is a White supremacist and a Nazi, it really takes the sting out of being called those names. It makes me laugh to see Black and Latino people called "White supremacists."

Thanks! I think you are right about one thing. The only way to deweaponize words and labels, is for everyone to start using them all the time in ironic ways. Maybe we should start introducing outselves to people as "Hi, I am bubble_burts, a White supremacist and Nazi because I think BLM is a marxist movement." or something like that. Well right now you will get fired right away, but hopefully after all this settles down, we can start deweaponising these labels. In my experience, people get shutdown and self censor themselves, only because of these labels.
