What's going on? They don't seem to be aware of it. I recently had an amazing discovery when I recorded a friend of mine who is afflicted and played his voice back to him.

He couldn't believe he sounded "like that". "Damn I sound like a fag, I really sound like that?" Then I talked to him some more about how dialect and inflection is a choice we consciously make, and I think because he realized he sounded like a faggot he actually paid attention.

So I'm wondering where the fuck this came from? You can hear the "faggot voice" in all of these Portland videos. It's not because they are all faggots, but they do all have faggot voice.
