I remember sitting in a young adult ward of The Church of Jesus Christ one Sunday and they had an adoption specialist give a 1 hour talk on the dangers of pre marital sex and the consequences. They talked about the Church’s adoption program like it was a great option for young women who wanted to go to college or whatever they wanted with no consequences if they got pregnant. Some young couple unable to have children would snap that kiddo up, because you’re a Mormon girl who screwed up. It enraged me to no end because as a woman you could get knocked up, get paid for the pregnancy, go to school for free cause you were a single mother, then give the kid up when it was due. While the father was shunned and slapped with outrageous child support payments to a mother who gave up your child to adoption. Fuck Mormons.
I don't know why this person is raging against adoption, or against Mormons who adopt. It's not socially acceptable in Mormon circles to get knocked up, or to knock your girlfriend up. There isn't a Mormon rule that makes the man pay child support even when the child is adopted. There isn't a single Mormon in the world who would treat out of wedlock pregnancy as a means to funding college or whatever this dude is ranting about. As a Mormon I've heard a lot of complaints about my church, but this is one of the weirdest.

The father has to pay child support after the child is adopted? Is this a Mormon thing? I don't think that is how child support works.
