Question, I have no experience with guns which is why I want to learn. Why 6 bullets? The first 4 should have been enough, no? The last 2 were fired when the criminal had already fallen and was done on his face. No? Is it the case that a normal human being can easily get up after getting shot 4 times and falling down on the face?

I personally have seen a haji take multiple (talking at least 10) 2.23 rounds and keep going for some time. People think killing folks is easy.

Engaged a guy with a 50 cal once and found him still breathing and trying to crawl while doing the BDA. People are resilient.

9mm isn't an incredibly damaging round, so it's not the kind of caliber where you could shoot a person once -- or even four times -- and expect them to be out of commission. Interesting info about the need for higher caliber rounds here.

Whatever caliber, shot placement is also important, and you can never be sure that any of your shots actually does enough damage to physically incapacitate someone.

Thus the operational principle is that you shoot until the threat is neutralized, though not necessarily dead. In the video, she shoots four times and the guy goes down, but he's still moving and still hasn't dropped the knife. That's when you see her shoot again, and that's when he physically stops moving.

You might wonder why not just see what he does after he falls down? The reason why that's a bad idea is because he's already closed distance to the point where you considered him a threat, and if he's moving, it's very possible that he could scramble and reach you. You might be able to shoot him again as he does so, but gunshots do not necessarily cause instant immobilization (as seen).

To answer your question if a normal human being could get up after 4 shots and falling down, yes, it's very possible. If the person is under the influence of certain drugs it makes it even more possible.

9mm is a great round, and I'm not knocking it, but there's a reason the .45 was invented.

Yeah but the wiki says the following,

Recent testing of the three major police and military calibers by the Federal Bureau of Investigation found that the .45 ACP was no more effective with regard to terminal ballistics than either 9 x 19mm Parabellum or .40 S&W. After two years of testing, one of the final FBI comments was that services that adopt (or stay with) .40 S&W or .45 ACP did so at the risk of increased recoil and a possible reduction in accuracy as 9 x 19mm with premium quality ammunition had nearly exactly the same performance.

You train to shoot until threat is neutralized and it rarely takes one. You can easily be mortally wounded and still keep going for 20-60 seconds. People can survive double taps to the head for a time. She shit six because four didn’t do it.

It also shows why the shots needed to begin as early (far back) as they did. Neutralizing takes time. Can’t wait until he’s right up on her.
