This is honestly a tragedy. Small and even medium sized businesses are being hit HARD! If your business is in California forget about it. These people will be forced to seek jobs in the mega-corps just to make the ends meet. When you work for yourself you have more freedoms and more power. When you work for a huge corporation it's like being a wage slave. You shut up and do what you are told or end up living on the street.
