I've been saying for years that the police protect the real criminals, not society. Our justice system is flawed. So many crimes go unpunished because the police stand in the way of Justice instead of upholding it.

Defunding the police isn't such a bad idea. There will be no sirens filling the air. Nobody will be coming to save Treyvon if he breaks into my house.Nobody will show up to ask me questions. My garden will be very well fed.

My wife is somewhat left-leaning. I've been pushing for us to move out to the family farm for a few years, and she's been less than enthusiastic about it. Just the other day, she walks up to me, and in a very significant tone of voice, asks, "When we move out to the farm, can you make sure we have some pigs?" If she's to this point with the rampant lawlessness, the left REALLY need to be careful going forward.
