Took me just under a month back in january to get my FID and pistol permit in NJ. Background check for my first gun took half an hour. When I went in to buy a gun earlier this week they said background checks have been taking 4-5 days. So good luck with getting that FID soon.. hope you're in a red county/town to make it a bit easier for you.
