I want to do some spray painting and I don't want to breathe the fumes. But every search for 3M N95 masks gives me the useless surgical masks.

N95 will do as much for spraypainting as it will for Covid. You need a respirator if you're really worried about it.

I don't do much painting, I just don't want to sneeze black paint for the rest of the day after painting. What would you recommend? https://www.mcmaster.com/respirators/disposable-respirators/

Grab the P 95 or 100. But if you're buying on McMaster I'd pick up the cartridge version half mask. They're the same price as a box but with changeable cartridges.

I would order from McMaster, but a ton of what they have listed isn't being sold. "Availability is uncertain, so we are not accepting orders at this time."

For fuck's sake.

I use a respirator for spray painting. Got mine at Lowe's. I still was blowing out purple paint later that night, just not as much when I spray paint without a mask. It really made me question this whole mask ordeal.

You don't want to use N95 mask for spray paining.

Maybe that's a question you should ask CHY-NA!

I've been trying to finish painting two replica helmets for weeks, but, can't find a good mask for painting.

Buy a CBRN mask. Now you can paint and it's reusable when the dirty disease ridden antifa turn your local town into a wasteland.

Breathing the fumes of burning plastic, oil, treated wood... none of that is good for you.
