Yup, I think it's all but confirmed at this point.
No admin is willing to put their reputation on the line and just say it's someone else. Instead they're focusing all their effort on damage control.
You'd think spez would have seized the account and started posting on it just as a cover. It's not like he hasn't already demonstrated his willingness to bypass system security to commit fraud.
That's because she's still alive and may have discloused to the feds that it's her account.
If reddit starts posting from it, that's evidence tampering and conspiracy.
That's never stopped Spez before.
And one can make a case for identity theft, but if no one in the generap public knows it's her it would be a hard case to win.
This is a great point! The user account MaxwellHill is probably too hot to handle. I bet the Reddit lawyers told the Admins not to touch the account with a 200 foot pole lest they all go to Federal Bang Me in the Ass Prison.

They haven't done that because she's still alive and in custody.
If they fuck with it, and she tells the feds that it's her account, Reddit is federally fucked.

Typically reddit powerusers do share accounts but i doubt anyone wants to touch THAT one now
