Didn’t expect this leftist garbage from a Baptist church.

Edit: thanks for the support pedes. My faith in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is not diminished. I’m just disappointed in the pastor. I will keep looking for a church that is rooted in God only.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Because Jesus is the Truth, the Light, and the way. Truth doesn't change only lies do.

God was always pre-racial, and a-racial, or better - he became biracial: both Elohim (celestial) and human (terrestrial). Babel was an object lesson AGAINST human tribalism - assigning the nations to lesser gods so they'd get The (Bad) Experience. Israel was God's de novo nation, so that he could use them as his own - free of such faux goddish lineage - later to re-adopt the lot of humanity back: after they sufficiently failed under pagan management. Voluntary adoption only. Now. And so stands Christ's offer, at last.

Our race is as God's, if we choose, then. But "race" is just "family", by any definition. God's TWO families are to be united. And if God's not your parent, who cares otherwise.

Just a Christian, and a deep reader. I like Heiser; met him once. 😀

SPEZ: 1777! O new account.

What is his training?

The Bible is God's revelation of himself to mankind, and the problem with that idea is that the same God who created and preserved the universe promised that the word of God would endure. Jesus didn't correct the Old Testament, he reinforced the truth of it (while simultaneously fulfilling some of the parts, which is one reason the church has different goals and practices than the nation of Israel). If you search out the Old Testament, there was provision made for the stranger (I'm trying to explain that God didn't JUST work with the Jews, but they allowed themselves to be the nation that would bring forth the Messiah who would save the whole world, and, as such, they received blessings that go along with that). At the same time, we have more historical proof that the Bible is accurate than any other ancient writing. If you want a good resource to look at and study that uses logical deduction, I highly recommend J. Warner Wallace's Cold Case Christianity. It focuses on the New Testament, but if you come to the conclusion that that is accurate, then you need to understand that Jesus Christ doesn't back up your idea. Sorry for the long winded answer, and have a good day!

Look up the book “God’s Hammer”. Short book, but high-level thinking about the Bible.

Also, find a reformed church where most of the people homeschool. People that embrace that usually love liberty, take their faith serious, and teach their kids to do the same.

Can you add an author to the book? I'm finding anything but what you referenced.

I look at the old testament as history, and I view life as a scientist (physician/former-engineer) and unabashed supernaturalist. The reason why I look at the OT so, is archaeological, as the texts in it exist in the record at wildly different (and old) dates, which substantiates a consistent reading across time. Heiser's work is in that field, called "lower criticism"; it's publicly accessible, as he writes popularly too. Also, look into thebibleproject.com (high production value) and bible.ca (high theological value), too. None of this -maybe- will help you find a home, but it may help you find a mooring.

It wasn't altered or changed but what people teach from it is often specific and used to push certain narratived, like the ones you mentioned.

The revelation of Jesus Christ is pure and true but man tends to mess things up. What you have here are criticisms of man (which are valid), just don't let them stand in the way of your relationship with your creator.
