Didn’t expect this leftist garbage from a Baptist church.

Edit: thanks for the support pedes. My faith in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is not diminished. I’m just disappointed in the pastor. I will keep looking for a church that is rooted in God only.

As I was looking for churches, one I went to talked about loving gays. And frankly, I agree. You should love all people always. God allows us no wiggle room on that. Where the message fails is when the pastors don’t follow up and say “but yeah, people who are gay, you shouldn’t be gay, it goes against God’s plan. You must repent and go away from that lifestyle”.

Agreed. Go and sin no more.

The Catholic church says exactly this. There is no such thing as a "gay" person, any more than there is a "thief" person or an "adulterer" person. Inclinations are one thing...a result of our fallen nature. Actions are another. You should love all people, and recognize that you too are a sinner. But unrepentant embracing of sin--and homosexual activity (along with all other non-unitive, non-procreative expression of sexuality, which are properly understood as abuses of the sexual faculty) is a sin--are not to be accepted, and certainly not celebrated. Love of neighbor means wanting what is best for them, even if that's not what they "want" for themselves.
