Didn’t expect this leftist garbage from a Baptist church.

Edit: thanks for the support pedes. My faith in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is not diminished. I’m just disappointed in the pastor. I will keep looking for a church that is rooted in God only.

Just a Christian, and a deep reader. I like Heiser; met him once. 😀

SPEZ: 1777! O new account.

Who is Heiser?

What is his training?

Heiser is a PhD in Hebrew language. He's a textualist by training, a Christian by choice, and a contextualist by providence; he combs through scholarly data on lower criticism, and presents it to the public, with as little eliding and elaborating, as possible, for non-scholarly consumption. His public work ends up being a reasonable look into ancient near-east theology, which theology is what the new testament writer's were steeped in.

What does the "1777!" do?

Gives you (and me) an extra clue who "Lydia Darraugh" was. Commenter of that name had only one comment, at the time of writing, so I was unable to delve more.

Thanks, but where did it come from? Is there a list of such helpful codes?

Haha. No. It's the year that very historical person did her thing: betraying the British for the Americans in the American Revolution. I was just acknowledging the poster's choice of names (and possible hint at her backstory?). Is all.
