And I’m sure there are parishes that still promote the old belief system, but the institution has been infiltrated by different thinkers and the undertones, in my opinion, are considerably different. One need only watch Pope Frances in action to believe that. In my view, it is and always has been an institution motivated by coffer-filling. I’ve seen it up close too many times. When your priest drives a Mercedes and sends parishioners to your house asking for pledges and to see your tax-returns, there is a problem (true story). We can agree to disagree.
