Believe the science?

Real science, not "one-way arrows on the floor of supermarket aisles will stop the virus."

53
Flahusky 53 points ago +53 / -0

Real science says 'if this virus was as bad as were told, there would be no hazard disposal boxes all over for our used masks and gloves'

4
davidmode 4 points ago +4 / -0

and fashioning your own mask wouldnt suffice for protection against it...

40
SirSeizureSalad 40 points ago +40 / -0

People indoors with 100 other people trying to act all dainty is so hilarious to me.

Herp derp, let me squeeze all 50 of these peaches and avocados that someone else just did the same to while adjusting their mask between each touch. How dare you walk the wrong way in an aisle!

21
DrBJTester 21 points ago +22 / -1

I was kidding, if you want to have fun with a leftist ask them the scientific method. If they know it's funny and if they don't explain it and have some ear plugs ready before the REEEEEEEEEEING starts.

12
Choomguy 12 points ago +12 / -0

15 years to slow the spread! (You know, of conservativism)

8

I don't mind the floor arrows they're really helpful if you're using the subway system in a new town

What possible excuse could The Twit use to suspend her account? The fucking Masters of the Universe are getting into pure Nazi Mode.

Be aware that the NYC official "murals" were supposedly done with 2-part road paint, which should hold up to moderate pressure washing. I still say the petroleum solvent NOT WATER) based asphalt sealant is more aggressive and hard to remove.

123
nowrongwrong 123 points ago +123 / -0

Between this and asphalt sealant and paint thinner suggestions, can we have a controlled experiment and try a different idea on each letter in the BLM street graffiti and then compare the results?

For science!

27
Flahusky 27 points ago +27 / -0

I think what is needed is a few bus fares and plane tix to get our pedes there

18
CancelBLM 18 points ago +18 / -0

You have to get creative and only paint over parts of the letters to spell out "Trump 2020" so when they clean it up it leaves that behind

6
Democrat 6 points ago +6 / -0

The "REE!" would be heard around the world

You can make your own anti-climb paint, it's basically that recipe

edit: CV joint grease also works

7
OGAmerica 7 points ago +7 / -0

That’s a very handy fact, so buy oil based paint, rather than the common lates paint, mix on motor oil, and it would never dry. Can’t paint over it, have to clean it. Cool.

2

Commie dust; don't breath that!

4
SchittsMethDealer 4 points ago +4 / -0

Or just skip the extra step in trying to get oil into a BLM guys paint bucket and go straight to power washers.

8
deleted 8 points ago +8 / -0
4
AceOfTrumps 4 points ago +4 / -0

I've been painting for almost 20 years. I believe the "almost never dries" bit...

but clean up with a power washer? wtf are you talking about. the biggest power washer you'll see a contractor own is absolute MAX like 4200psi, typically it's more like 2800-3500psi & what's the output? at best you have that rotary 0 degree power nozzle... but at that point it has nothing to do with oil paint in top & frankly I doubt you'd even remove a majority of an acrylic paint that's freshly applied. even if the paints been there awhile you're still going to have to work

3
WestCoastG 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'd it never dries, can you just wash it away Witt a regular hose?

3
AceOfTrumps 3 points ago +3 / -0

I mean... probably, but it's all pressure at that point, you're just moving it down the road. only time I saw a big oil paint spill we used mineral spirits to dilute and a shop vac to scoop. but I just don't see it really dming shit to the paint underneath

2
Keep_on_winning_kag 2 points ago +2 / -0

They'd probably end up grinding a layer of the asphalt off instead of using a power washer because the oil could/can then get into the water table. Grinding the roadway off is a common practice when it comes to the ease of replacing asphalt quickly, as it can be recycled and put back down later on. The oil or other impurities are heated at such a high temp that they are burned off or vaporized and new additives are put in so it can be reused.

3
Wearyman 3 points ago +3 / -0

Dawn soap will solubilize most oils, and is often used to clean up animals caught in crude oil spills. I'd imagine it would work at least somewhat similarly for an oil based paint. Although you'd still have staining issues to deal with.

4
Lobo60 4 points ago +4 / -0

I've learned more than I thought I'd ever want to know about paint here in the past few days.

2
IPMang 2 points ago +2 / -0

lol I'm loving it, I haven't learned nearly enough and desire to learn so much more hahaha

Also I've been learning how to deep clean my bicycle chain... Turns out soaking and shaking in mineral spirits, then degreaser, then denatured alcohol is the play.

3
SplitStreamPP 3 points ago +3 / -0

That would be really unfortunate. Or as President Trump might say, "Sad!"

3
Oskar 3 points ago +3 / -0

These little, completely random, tidbits of knowledge are a big part of the reason I come here

3
Crucial8GB 3 points ago +3 / -0

It would be a shame if mysterious 5 gallon buckets of black paint started appearing at every BLM mural. Kind of like how pallets of bricks appeared during the riots.

lol for the sake of the motopedes, let's not do this

3

What if you just hose it down with a regular hose? Since it doesn't dry, won't it just get washed away?

2

Get a cheap pump sprayer and fill it with acetone (assuming that won't melt the plastic) and spray the mural down and just get rid of it.

Hold on, are we talking about painting over the BLM street graffiti with paint that will never dry? If so, that's irresponsible and dangerous. The wet paint would decrease tire traction. Its a street! Cars drive on it. People walk on it. Let's not become even loonier than the Left.

14
deleted 14 points ago +14 / -0
-8
Meme_Too -8 points ago +3 / -11

There are always a certain number of people who will take things literally. And although the paint might not be slippery, it would adhere to tires and get spread all over other streets. The mess would give vengeful city government cause to go after whoever painted over the graffiti.

8
bucky_the_wonder_pig 8 points ago +8 / -0

Oh gawd!! Think of the """bad optics""" of some paint on the street. :( That would be sooooooooo detrimental to the cause.

1
IPMang 1 point ago +1 / -0

Or maybe show them that the government sponsoring and painting a gigantic anti-police political message on the street in front of the President's building wasn't the best use of tax dollars?
