yep, he's way smarter than I realized back when I had only watched about a cumulative fifteen minutes of him talking.

Agree, and ask yourselves for a second... As much as we all want to see Tim come to President Trumps side, isn’t he much more effective at persuading non-conservatives the longer he remains one? Let Tim marinate in it till November. He’s a great spokesperson just how he is, and he brought us Adam who is also doing a great job as a former liberal.

He reads current events for a living.

13
Former_RM2 13 points ago +13 / -0

And commentates. He makes a lot of money off it. Tim was worth millions before he ventured into current event political commentating. He's worth way more now than when he started.

He's a smart businessman. I guess he proves you don't need a college degree to succeed in this country...or, apparently, a high school diploma either.

I've been saying for the last couple of months that Tim is going to vote for Trump this November. The reason he doesn't openly come out as a Trump supporter is because YouTube would start censoring and demonitizing his videos even more than they already do.

His strength is in being an actual journalist when they are so rare. He tells you the facts about what happened and then gives a light commentary. It's a breath of fresh air really.

That's a very loving and flowery way to say Tim is a corporate grifter.

You can see Tim quietly seething when Adam makes valid points and talks for longer than a few minutes sometimes. You can see the testiness when they disagree sometimes. They'll have a real ass argument one day on stream. Adam will try to push Tim off the fence on some topic and Tim will resist and Adam will call him on his shit live. I give it a few months.

Wasnt it supposed to be about aliens and lighter topics? Lol, Tim couldnt let this shit go for a few hours.

"I'm sorry man...." LOL. Tim is starting to be a bit annoying but I understand what he's up to. Straddling a fence rail must hurt your butt after awhile.

7
MustBeTrump 7 points ago +7 / -0

Nah that's not the case at all, pay closer attention. The vast majority of their heated discussions are often Adam thinking he knows everything because he's 'taken the red pill' and then forgetting that it was Tim that introduced him to this new world that he's experiencing and Adam trying to belittle Tim's experiences because he loves the attention he's getting from the Trump crowd now.

Often the cause of their arguments is almost always that they're arguing about two entirely different things, Adam still argues like a lefty and Tim gets carried away with pushing his side of the argument rather than realising that neither of them is listening to the other. It made me want to stop watching because it's entirely unproductive.

Hard disagree. The vast majority of their disagreements happen because Tim immediately shuts adam down when adam tries to make a point. At least, he used to before adam grew a set and told tim to fuck off. Rewatch the stream where tim and adam had their viral rants. 10 minutes before Adam's rant tim tries to shut adam down with his usual "No, you're wrong" and adam flat out tells him "No, I'm right. Say I'm right. Okay, moving on."

The reason adam gets pissed is because Tim never adds anything after shutting him down. He just rewords what adam says and pretends ot was his idea all along. This pisses adam off because hes done the actual work to research the topic, as opposed to tim whose resting on his elite news article reading skillz.

I think originally that was the case, Tim would say "not even that" to almost everything and yeah it was annoying, but it became a meme and Tim has definitely stopped or slowed down and doesn't do it in such an obnoxious way anymore.

The thing that actually really bothers me is exactly what you just quoted, when Adam gets aggressive and says "tell me I'm right, okay moving on" it's incredibly obnoxious, neither one of them wants to meet in the middle, the way Adam constantly announces that the conversation is over and to move on is one of the worst things about him and I'm surprised that Tim bites his tongue, especially considering that it's Tim's show and Adam should respect that.

It's hard to notice unless you've been around people like Adam but he also does the same thing often to Lydia, he doesn't seem to understand other people's perspectives, it was a small thing but Lydia was noticeably uncomfortable. They were discussing a video and Tim asks Lydia if she'd seen it, she said she doesn't think so and Adam immediately and aggressively calls her out and says "Yeah you have! Don't lie! You've seen it!" and you can tell Lydia is just visibly confused, she wasn't "lying" so it was strange for him to call her out as a liar but he kept going on at her, like a child accusing you of stealing their toy that they've lost.

The timcast I took that quote from was this one https://youtu.be/oco2vtSb51Y starting at the 1:55:50 mark. I cut out Tim's part in that quote because my post was getting long in the tooth, bit the tl;dw context was this:

Adam: I want to have logic based conversations with people, but they just wanna fight.

Tim: No, youre wrong, you want to have conversations, but they dont.

He literally just rephrased Adam's point. Adam was understandable pissed because tim had been doing that for the last few podcasts and he had enough. Tim's "epic rant" everyone likes happens right after, which I would say was more fueled by his anger at adam for standing up to him. Tim also noticeably toned down his contrarianism after this cast.

I've known people like adam and tim, and personal opinion here, the Tim's are far more annoying to me. The pseudo-moderate who are the golden mean fallacy personified. Anytime someone makes a statement outside what they consider neutral they immediately try to shut it down, and then play the neutral party card when called on it. And of course it's purely coincidental the middle ground is always where they happen to be standing.

I can understand why adam is becoming more aggressive. Being around people like tim means if you dont assert your point they twist and wave it off. He may not mean it, but that's a toxic environment that eats at you after a while.

Adam: I don't want to have a battle with you, I want to talk to you. I want to understand your position.

Tim: No, no, they don't...

Adam interrupts

Adam: Yes they wanna have a battle that's what I'm saying, they wanna have a battle

Tim: I know

Adam: That's exactly what I just said, so don't say no, say yes. Tell me right now, say yes

Tim: No, no, I'm saying you want to have conversations with these people...

Adam interrupts before Tim can make his point

Adam: I DO want to have conversations with these people!

Tim: I believe you, right...

Adam interrupts again before Tim can agree and make his point about how the left refuses to have a discussion

Adam: So don't tell me 'No' Tim, anyway moving on... smug face

Tim: I'm no telling you that you don't want to have conversations I'm saying these people don't

Okay, so I went through the effort of actually transcribing word for word what was said and I think you're trying to have an honest conversation so please help me out here. The first time I watched this live and just now when I've watched it again, it seems very clear to me that Tim was trying to agree the first time he spoke, "no, no, they don't" it would have sounded better as "Yeah, yeah, they don't" but I too would have phrased it as "no, no". Semantics.

So Tim tried to agree and go on to say that it doesn't matter if Adam wants to have a logical conversation with these people because they refuse to do that. (I'm sure you've tried to talk to a lefty before and experienced exactly that).

Then Adam doesn't listen to Tim and takes his "no, no" as a disagreement, even though Tim clarifies that he is agreeing, so Tim for the 3rd time agrees with Adam and Adam triples down even further, and then for a fourth time, and then finally Adam completely misrepresents what Tim said and tells Tim not to tell him 'no' and doesn't give Tim the opportunity to AGREE for the 5th time and pulls a punchably smug face and tries to end the conversation like a typical lefty would.

To me it was an obvious case of a misunderstanding of semantics, that just escalated because of Adam's refusal to just listen to what Tim had to say. I understand what you mean about how he just rephrased Adam's point but he wasn't doing it in a malicious way, he was agreeing, his choice of vocabulary with the 'no, no' was the issue. I think Tim handled Adam's obnoxious attitude quite well but he definitely got angry because like you said, that rant came immediately after and then Adam takes credit for pissing him off.

It's funny how passionate we both obviously are about these two characters on a podcast, but I know when I watched this and many other occasions live I completely understood where the miscommunication started and then you watch them both fail to understand each other and then you see people taking sides in the comments like we're doing right now and it bothers me so much that they don't disagree, they're just struggling to communicate properly. So it's frustrating to see people jump on the Adam train when I believe he was immature about his response, I've had way too many lefties speak to me like that 'anyway moving on...' or bringing up a political topic and then when I say something educated back to them they say 'oh I'm not really into politics anyway, why are you going on about it??', it strikes a nerve haha.

LuckyOwl 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm glad we're both taking a good faith approach to this too.

Your transcription is a little off though. When tim first says no he says "No, no, dude, they /DON'T/" placing a hard emphasis on the "dont" implying adam thought they did, which was clearly the opposite of what adam said. The full stop of "dude" also keeps it from being a reaffirmation in my eyes. I cant actually think of a way to say those four words to imply "no they really dont, do they?"

Combine all that with tim responding with a hard "NO" when adam tells him to just agree with him tells me the original "no, no, dude, they dont" was definitely meant to be in disagreement. And I cant fault ad for being frustrated. This video is more a flashpoint, so it doesnt do a good job of showing the why of what's going on, but for several podcasts Tim's contrarian habits had been putting everyone on edge. He even shut lydia of all people down over a topic it turns out he was wrong on. The reason this video sticks out to me even now is because I was in the middle of writing a comment calling tim out on this, when all but adam did it for me.

And that contrarianism is why theres an adam train at all. Alot of the people bagging on tim are just disillusioned with his personality. Take his recent video on people in portland being V&. It literally opens with him, in a disgusting smug tone, mocking trump for stepping in the dems trap. This is despite tim begging for action against these yuppies for months, going back to his rant in that podcast screaming for people to "DO SOMETHING! ANYTHING!" The adam train came about because compared to that, people prefer someone who sticks to their guns. Well, that, and adam is clearly not as intelligent as tim but is working hard to better himself intellectually while tim seems to just be resting on his laurels in the worst way possible.

I would like to clarify that while I prefer the beard over the beanie, I'm not on the adam train myself. I watch Tim's shows because I dont have many center left peers and I want to keep a tab on their opinions. I know full well that when the smoke dies down, these two will spit out any red pills they took and go back to being hipster skaters. So I dont have any ill will towards you if you prefer tim and hate Adam's guts. It's a perfectly valid opinion. I'm also sure we can all agree on the common ground of lydia being the best of the three.

account name

account has promoted AdamCast

found it funny that TD.win likes Adam over Tim

has recently bought land in the middle of nowhere

It's a rather remote chance, and is all circumstantial evidence to boot. Still amusing to entertain the possibility.

Good try Pede. I am a PsyOp warrior but not the one you are looking for. I also post Pro-Life & pro Jesus stuff so that's a no go as well. Lastly my land is way more remote than Timmy's I am sure! I didn't want to out the fellow in case it wasn't Tim but since you accused me I will point the finger towards who I thought was the bald one Tim Pool!

https://thedonald.win/u/NewUser1758/ <----Notice the OVERLY generic name?

Evidence being he said what Tim says on his show almost word for word, we call that "forensic linguistics"!

You can't be an anarchist and a communist, you can't be a totalitarian who wants a stateless society.

SOURCE

The quote is something Tim says constantly. I went through a few more pages of comments on this user and they talk about Chicago a bit, advocate non violent protest, and a few other red flags that it could be Tim himself. Or I could be completely wrong!! Also Adam is just cooler than Tim everyone knows that. I just wanted his new show to work out cause he seems cool. Lastly Tim had TD.win pulled up in one of his last videos and brags how he is on here "doing research". It's a known fact he at least browses.

It has been fun seeing Adam become Chadam while dealing with the constant Tim interruptions and 'no no no, listen, listen to my play devils advocate because I'm right' from Tim.

I like Tim a lot and have been a fan since his original channel was smallish but I've been hoping he would cut back on that stuff. Chadam has been developing a good way of dealing with it though.

I need to invest in a rifle. Why is 5.56 the way? I’m in California and have somewhat limited options

5
kek_saved_the_world [S] 5 points ago +6 / -1

what the mil uses so there will always be ammo available (or at least being made for it). also a good cartridge that when fired from at least 16 inch barrel provides just under 3000 fps which is enough velocity that anyone hit up to 300 yards is going to have body cavitation they can not survive.

It's said that God and Eugene Stoner got together in the 60s and created the perfect rifle and cartridge.. the .223..

Some time later US army felt was not enough and created the 5.56 which adds a tiny bit more pressure (diff chamber and bore head/throat) which expands the shell a little more providing penetration of a standard helmet at some distance I can't remember. anyhow, it is a very light round that when fired from the AR Platform with right barrel length, can be a devastating round without the need for more recoil and blast pressure of higher capacity cartridges.

2
Haasmaster 2 points ago +2 / -0

And a very flat trajectory makes it easy to shoot at various ranges.

1
PropagandaWizard1984 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well put. If you can only have one rifle round, pick the 5.56!

1
deleted 1 point ago +1 / -0
1
blakhart 1 point ago +1 / -0

Remember though, if your barrel is rated as 5.56, you can shoot .223 ammo out of it all day long. Just dont trust a .223 barrel to handle 5.56.

I have seen a catastrophic overpressure failure first hand. Its spectacular.
