Option #3: Not anywhere near "heavy handed" enough. They're still treating this insurrectionists with kid gloves.

If it was day 3, you could raise the question. But at day fuckin 50, it’s not nearly enough.

This is an easy question to answer. Has Portland been pacified? If not, then clearly more force is needed.

Any government ... regardless of their politics ... will take a little time to react to the sudden eruption of riots. But that time should be measured in hours. Depending on the necessary reaction and the time to mobilise your forces I'd go as high as 72 hours to re-establish control of the streets.

When it measures in weeks ... the government is either rankly incompetent or complicit. In Portland I'd say it's definitely the latter.

In which case - someone competent needs to step up. GEOTUS is in a shit position ... the regressives and corrupt democrats are desperate to be able to cast him as Hitler reborn - and he's done a fine job of avoiding that.

So I think his actions have been just right.

Start shooting. Do us all a favor and kill the bastards. 5 minutes to disperse and leave the area, then start shooting. And when Jim Acosta starts with his bullshit say... STFU Jim, or you're next.

Nowhere near heavy handed enough. This has been going on for almost 2 months, at some point its time for the gloves to come off.
