This might be cause for her recusal though
Legally, only she can recuse herself, right? More importantly, wouldn't making the argument that she should recuse herself directly imply that it was done because of the case she's hearing? Would anyone in the courtroom really have the balls to make that assertion?
"Any justice, judge, or magistrate of the United States shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned."
In short, this wouldn't require recusal, but if it is reasonably concluded that this event affects impartiality of one her cases, recusal would be expected, and not recusing may have consequence on judgment validity. It's a perspective thing.
Is it? Granted I know next to nothing about what would qualify for recusal.. but wouldn't this essentially mean that if anyone ever had a judge assigned to them they didn't like they would just need to go egg there house or something, pay a small fine maybe community service, and poof new judge. Or are you thinking this is cause for recusal because of the much more heinous nature of the crime?

I was wondering if maybe this was to intimidate her into behaving as they desired. I'd hope her scorn at losing her child would be enough that she wouldn't care about death at this point though. She'll be killed by covid or something if she doesn't recuse is my bet.
She won't be vengeful. I'd bet money that she wanted to off her family and didn't want to dirty her hands with fishtank cleaner. This killing was probably payment for her cleaning up the financial trail in the bank trail.
