The problem with monitoring normal internet traffic is that it's 99.99999999999% useless BS.

A public VPN is a good way to get targets to self-select for sensitive data AND they pay you to do so. The ratio of banking info to vegan recipes is much more profitable on a VPN.

Most are fronts for Intel agencies. Get a cloud provider account and use algovpn.

100% proton if not #1 is very close. Their whole business model evolves around 1 must have in a VPN company. How can we make this more secure , cleaner code, faster speed, encryption code self written with a force field of protecting against malicious attacks and botnet ddos. They also have a solid connection to backbone to the internet and a huge list of there own LIRs (domains/ip address). They dont rent out a block. This is who J use and I keep my ear in the everything computer security . They are solid havent found one better.

Thank you for the detailed summary why they “are good” in the security chapter.

While there are no guarantees in life, I have observed the same that they seem to be making the biggest and most transparent efforts in regards to security, and publish whitepapers and code, not just marketing statements like 98%+ of the rest.

See that little green island in the middle? One of the many of Proton connects - You can select. ; ) https://gobestvpn.com/guide/countries-with-strictest-data-privacy-laws/

Also: Sweden was the first country to enact a data protection law. As a member state of the EU, it currently follows the GDPR. But it’s worth examining its history with data protection....

Last but not least the Brainiac's at CERN came up with Proton Mail/VPN because they (needed) or saw the need for a truly private way to communicate Globally. (Just FYI - Proton has both a Free version or Pay version).
