Yeah when that dam goes, they could conceivably have 400 million fatalities. They aren't going to be doing anything other than cleaning up corpses, dead animals, and diseased water for years. Their hubris will be their downfall.
That dam is a symbol of Chinese manufacturing. A cheap, corner cutting product that falls apart rather quickly and ends up harming those that it is supposed to serve.
Maybe if they had spent the money on the dam instead of building massive and empty ghost cities just to create jobs to make their economy not seem like the propped up mess that it is it might have worked.
