I agree.

I also think the same pervasive low standards across the country are a problem with many police. Chauvin has a record of being a shitty cop. We gotta hold folks to a standard and fire those that can't maintain or surpass it.

The kids I managed at a few retail locations and small kitchens were held to a much higher standard than what I see ANYWHERE these days.

Maybe we have these companies and departments give raises to the best performers and start getting rid of the shitty folks?

Well, the low standards definitely come from the pay scale. The less you pay the worse people the job will attract. And it's already a job that attracts the wrong type of person. TO raise the payscale would require liberals and democrats agreeing on something. Sooo....

Nobody is forcing anyone to stick to a minimum. You can always go higher.

Every job has people that perform better but nearly all of them keep folks on the same payscale for "fairness"

This is about departments, businesses, leaders and managers doing the right thing.

Yea.. equal pay is BS. Really bad in the unions (from personal experience).. just encourages everyone to work no harder than the slacker of the group

Last year was asking about the requirements for our job.

One item COULD NOT BE EXPLAINED. Just a word "Optimization"

I fought for months to get the answer to what was considered "Optimized" and eventually he came to have a sit down with my shift.

"I need you to clearly explain what the minimum requirements are to be considered optimized"

"Why do you want to know the minimum?"

"Because I don't get a better raise for doing more, I have better things to do at work than this. I'm going to do the minimum, why shouldn't I?"

"Pride?"

"My pride is in not giving you more than others only to get the same reward. Pride in not being taken advantage of"

I was saying the issue is pervasive to the entire fucking country.

Maybe the folks who live in these deep blue shithole cities could elect competent leaders who would actually do something to ensure their police department is properly trained, instead of hiring incompetent faggots and posers, then blaming Trump when the incompetent faggots inevitably fuck up?

Have you been through police training?

Do you have a point? Mine was, if the folks in these cities with all these problems want better trained police, they need to blame their own elected local officials, who are, you know, in charge of those police - not POTUS Trump who has jack squat to do with training or supervising their police departments. Chauvin had complaints dating back over 10 years. During those 10 years, the dem A.G. declined to prosecute him, dem police chief declined to reassign or fire him, dem mayor did not press the police chief to get rid of him, dem city council likewise did nothing about him.
