I've been on TD for ~4 years. I am not tech savvy, and am certainly behind the times. I just got my first "smart" phone in January.
Point being and request;
There's a lot of terms on social media and this platform that I don't fully understand even after a duckduckgo look-up. I'm successfully recruiting my peers to join this community, and I'm sure I represent a decent amount of folks.
Can we please have a tab(s) for:
-
Glossary of terms explaining in detail things like Doxxing, Shills etc. etc. (I still don't understand these terms as they're used here)
-
a FAQ or beginner's guide to TD. The learning curve to use TD is steep for some of us.
Doxxing = finding a person’s personal information and then making it known publicly
Shill = person who pretends to support a cause, sometimes in exchange for money. A false flaggwr
Hey old man, you are still ahead of the curve. I still dont know what duckduckgo is. I'm with you with shills... I don't know what they are. I know they're bad though. Took me a long time to figure out what TDS was.
Duckduckgo is a search engine found at Duckduckgo.com
It is not as manipulated as Google.
Yippy.com is another good search engine, though I use it mainly for research.
I wish people here would lean toward decorum a little more and not post extreme sexual perverted comments. Some of those terms you may find in the urban dictionary.
I’m not trying to be a prude, just asking for a more professional atmosphere so that people aren’t grossed out by some things.
Dox (v) - to uncover and publish someone's identity based on their social media accounts.
Shill (n) - a person/entity that will post anti Trump articles in order to demoralize you and either suppress your vote, or convince you to vote for the other team.
