I'm unsure how much of this is real and how much is subterfuge at this point. That one clip of the two men in full combat costume just walking up to that guy and taking him to the van seemed very fishy to me.

  1. The two "officers" were not looking around or paying attention to any of the other rioters that were around. They had zero awareness or eyes on what was going on around them. Are we to believe that federal officers apprehending a suspect in the middle of a full scale riot aren't watching their 6? These guys weren't, not at all.

  2. They had a camera on them from jump street and they were stopped literally in the middle of the intersection half a block away from the "apprehending". This left them open from all directions, completely indefensible position. This sure looked like a staged photo op. Why didn't the van drive up closer to where the "officers were so they didn't have to walk the "perp" out in the open so far, not looking out for ambush at all, back to the completely wide open van in the middle of the street.

  3. Federal officers travel in packs of TWO to apprehend a suspect in the middle of a fucking RIOT?! They had no riot gear on, no body armor of any kind, only sidearms which remained completely holstered the whole time in spite of there being multiple rioters in the area! Usually when apprehending a suspect they'll at least keep their hand close to their weapon in case they need to draw quickly and keep an eye on the potential ambush around them.

No that clip was two BLMantifa rioters in costume staging this for the camera.

I'm sure there's no actual video of any of these feds apprehending someone, if it is happening.

The story actually happened, but its a non-event. They questioned him and didn't arrest him.

https://thegrio.com/2020/07/18/federal-officers-detain-protesters-in-unmarked-cars/

Acting Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Ken Cuccinelli confirmed the news that federal agents were in fact detaining people in Portland using unmarked vehicles. He stated that it was to move the detainees to a “safe location for questioning,” as well as a method to keep officers safe from the crowds.

He spoke of one incident where the agents had picked up someone under suspicion of attacking a federal officer. After questioning the gentleman, that they realized they had the wrong guy and released him.

So.. okay I'm not saying federal officers aren't detaining people, but the video that is being shared around is bullshit.

Not sure what video you saw, but I saw DHS Police / Federal Police / Tach Team guys peacefully detain a guy into a minivan, I don't think they even cuffed him.

They cross an intersection to get him and there was at least one other fed in the van driving. It's not fake at all IMHO.

From what I understand they were grabbing people leaving the protest alone or in small groups, taking them in, searching them for weapons, then releasing them if nothing is found. From what I hear they were very polite. These guys are anti-terror cops with military backgrounds, they aren't going to get annoyed and rough up a misguided teenager. Get real.

If you are leaving a protest where violence or property destruction occurred, in Antifa tactical garb, you well within probable cause to be detained at the minimum. Federal police generally use unmarked vehicles.
