Release them and monitor what they do next. Do they call someone the next tier up? Do they start trying to scrub texts/emails? Letting them go gives them a false sense of security/superiority or the act of being detained scared the shit out of them. They’ll either double down, or try and destroy incriminating evidence and create distance. All valuable info.
