This is actually a very good idea from Ivanka. I know it has been around and to many is common sense, but blindly requiring a degree for every professional job rather than testing a person's relevant skills, work ethic, etc is just a means to further leftist indoctrination. Breaking the hold universities have over the job market would be an excellent first step. Some of the smartest people I know learned by doing, not from a college degree.
In my school, I learned many technical programs that were required for the job I now have.
Crystal Ball, Simio, MySQL, I also learned logistic optimization through excel solver.
Experience is always good, but school can teach you programs you don't have and wouldn't otherwise have access to, and prove that you have the ability to master them.
On the other hand, I went into a program that required a lot of effort and mathmatics.
