I'm glad you were open to it and it help change your mind. I used the creation portion of that passage. The only response I got back was the universe just was and since I cant answer questions with scientific facts I'm using the "God gap fallacy". It went no where and I feel like i shouldn't have wasted my time.

It’s never a waste of time. In any discussion of Christianity, it’s not you against them. It’s you for them. And really, it’s God for them, through you. You can’t lose. They may not seem to listen...but if you’re accurately representing the faith, it’s not a waste of time. Even if you’re just getting some practice in at making the arguments for when a better opportunity comes along with someone else.

What were their points that you “couldn’t” answer? Maybe I can help you out for next time.

Thank you for the encouragement. I know where ever Gods word goes it will prosper and that anything you do for the Lord isn't wasted. It just seems wasteful or discouraging to go around in circles with someone who isn't even slightly open to the idea.
