The real problem is that the left has, for political reasons, intentionally mixed up people with legitimate problems and who are deserving of our sympathy and support with people who are at best confused, or, at worst, are the aforementioned degenerates.

This is their playbook on issue after issue, since before I was born.

As a gun-toting, bible-thumping nationalist, I do care about the one in ten thousand or so people who are born with sex anomalies. I just don't think we should show how much we care by manufacturing more of them by telling every confused child to mutilate their bodies.

In the same way, I do care about the environment. I want nature to be abundant and clean, and I want future generations to be able to enjoy it as much as I have. But I don't believe that the best way to accomplish that is for the western world to convert to stone age communism.

And I do care about the poor. I want to encourage as many of them as possible to want to get out of poverty, and I want to help them accomplish it. But I don't think that we should "help" by making multi-generational poverty a comfortable and legitimate lifestyle choice, or by encouraging young people to unwittingly make the bad choices that will land them there.

And so on, and so on.
