It didn’t take long. Duck Duck Go is officially compromised. I’ve been noticing their search results going further and further left the last few months and today sealed it for me.
I searched “Voter Fraud” under “News” looking for an article on the recent Dem cases of voter fraud and was given nothing but articles on the Kansas House Republican being charged and how voter fraud is Republican conspiracy.
What other search engines are out there?
what we really need is an open-source peer-to-peer hosted search engine.
i’ve done some research, and a few projects exist, but they are still very technical
I’ve heard interesting things regarding decentralized blockchain/Ethereum based projects but they are still a few years out, if ever.
Decentralized internet sounds great though. Web3.0 is needed now more than ever.
2 for start page so far. I’ll check out the rest too. Thanks!
Duck Duck Go is a search engine aggregation and anonymization service. It uses Bing, Google, and many other search engines to give you as unfiltered a search as possible while shielding you from Google et al's trackers.
Searching only "News" is only going to give you returns from the aggregated "news" items so you will only get FakeNews returns. I just did the same search for "Voter Fraud" and only 2 of the top page were the Kansas story, and when doing a normal web search for "voter fraud" the first return is "Database Swells to 1,285 Proven Cases of Voter Fraud in America".
Pro Tip: Only use the "news" tab if you want to see what fakenews is saying, it's kind of the entire purpose of it.
Fair enough and good to know.
Startpage.com. I've been using it almost exclusively for probably ten years. Research for yourself who started it and why. The servers are offshore somewhere In Scandinavia, I believe, and beyond the reach of US law enforcement. They don't keep any info for more than 24 hours and can't comply with warrants, anyway. They admit they use Google, but strip all the tracking/tracing BS. I've never found them steering me, or targeting me with ads or any such thing.
I've NEVER trusted DDG. Something about them never seemed right. Anyway, try SP. Other than that, most engines I'm aware of seem even worse than DDG, like Bing. Let's face reality -- nothing on the internet, or off, for that matter, can truly be trusted. You pays your ticket, and you takes your ride.
Startpage is google results. They literally pay google for api access. The results are the same as using google with the same censorship.
Awesome I’ll look into it. Much appreciated
At least when searching for .win on ddg it’s the top result. I gave up scrolling down when searching on google. It’s amazing though, I show this (and many other examples) to people and they just can’t accept it. It’s psychological
I just searched “voter fraud” and “dem voter fraud” and was well rewarded with a good sampling of democratic voter fraud stories.
DuckDuckGo is fine IMO.
Try election fraud as well
Wow election fraud is even worse....
You’re getting different results than me then.

I shouldn’t need to put Dem in it when there are multiple examples of Dem voter fraud within the last month.
