I understand where you’re coming from, but there was a time when our sports helped reaffirm the value of struggle, competition, hard work, overcoming odds. It was a positive cultural force. And a means of entertainment. I’m sad that it’s gone, but most major leagues have long since destroyed their value as role models. I’ve been done for a few years, but I still miss what it was...
Yeah, idk what it is, i played every sport under the sun practically, except hockey, and a few others... I wrestled from second grade until college and even fought MMA 6 times, love both sports... and back then or even now have no desire to WATCH either, all it does is make me want to DO it, not watch haha. Maybe I'm just selfish.
I admittedly do enjoy hockey. rugby, wrestling, and MMA just about any time i've watched it. But i can't bring myself to plan or set aside time for it.
Before it got taken out by the scam, my family was into American Ninja Warrior. Normal sized non- millionaire athletes who compete for love of the game

The olympics usually embody that but even those have become political. Maybe we can have gladiator matches again...

The player arrest rates alone prove that.
Yes, athleticism and competition are pillars of western civilization. Anyone who claims to be "above the bread and circuses" is a cuck.
