Participatory sporting activities are experiencing unprecedented levels on engagement. The number of people hiking, biking, surfing - heck, even home improvement projects - is reflected in the best quarters ever recorded by segment vendors, suppliers and retail outlets. (Ever see the lines at Home Depot?)

More surfboards, wetsuits and general beach apparel have been sold in SoCal, Australia, FL and other surfing areas than at any previous time.

Try to find a bike - anywhere - I challenge you. I hadn't been in Wally since before CV, but was looking for a tarp. All bikes, gone. All tents, sleeping bags, gone. People are out and about, staying active.

I did notice that, all my friends trying to get in on the mountain biking fun haha, i have three at my house ;)

And i think that's great! So much better for people than sitting around watching other people play sports and such a high level it leaves life long injuries and conditions... But as an athlete myself i get it from the pro athletes perspective... It's hard to be the rush and reward of hard work.
