This typically includes filtering illegal websites, ones that offer illegal services. It is because of this that Google has not been an open platform for a long time. In any case, it hardly matters because there is a loophole that allows companies like Facebook and Google to curate while claiming to be a platform.
It is, unfortunately, why they didn’t get in trouble the last time this matter was discussed.
