Close, he is Ba’al. There’s an Islamic book written about a century after Abu Qasim died called “kitab al-asnam”, The book of idols, That offered to describe the kind of culture that Islam sprouted out of. The primary God of the qurayshi tribe, Al-lah (God Lah) was an import from Syria, a red agate statue of ba’al called Hubal (Spirit of Ba’al). Mo’s dad Abdullah (Slave of god Lah) was very nearly offered as a human sacrifice to Hubal, if not for the intercession of a witch and her spiritual familiar. Mo himself worshipped the various idols until he got it into his head to become a monotheist and sacrifice to ba’al exclusively.

Eventually he dropped his god’s association with the statue and in doing so shed the name Ba’al
