This comes out of deconstruction to attack foundations of America.
The target is dismantle the shared values of America and bring its system down once rendered meaningless. So you hyper-focus on all the negatives and never a positive of the thing you wish to destroy. Similar to media hyper-focus on 'police brutality' and 'systemic racism' stories in absence of the big picture.
The alternatives are worse. The alternatives are willing to lie and use violence to get at what they're after -- bandit loot pillage and rape their way with the country.
So looks like we become monsters and push back or capitulate to the rape of our country. Liars and bandits are not owed good faith. Allowing yourself to be victimized is not a virtue.
