Teachers are mostly "feelers" rather than "thinkers." We have to appeal to them emotionally.
What they are doing is HURTING children and families.
There are kids trapped in abusive home environments with no outside contact right now. There are kids in food insecure homes without cafeteria breakfasts and lunches to depend on. There are kids playing in the street without supervision while their parents work. There are kids with extreme anxiety that they are doing to die from a virus that has killed less than 100 under 18 years of age.
“I love teaching children unless I could get sick” - teachers living with that reality for decades but trying to price gouge now.
