There are some exceptions. I had a public high school history teacher who kept copies of the Limbaugh Letter on his desk in full view of the class. He also didn't take crap from students acting up in class.
I honestly think a lot of history teachers are right-leaning, especially the ones that have been teaching for a long time.
I had a high school History teacher who was always talking about the importance of fact-checking any information you see in any form of media and forming your own conclusions. She always talked about how important it is to know both the good and the bad parts of our history and how easily history can be altered. To 15 year old me, she was just a crazy lady. 2016 was the first presidential race I could vote in, and the first one I really paid attention to. Watching the way the media treated Trump during the race, everything she had said years earlier hit me like a bus and I realized she was 100% right.
