As soon as I graduate I’m leaving Oregon and heading to Idaho. Hope there’s a spot for an engineer pede somewhere.
Or stay and help liberate eastern Oregon and Washington from their commie western halves - then can join them up with Idaho into a new super state of Cascadia
The Cascade range is already a natural buffer of the east and west halves of these two states - so then just concentrate on controlling the passes through the mountains
And electricity flows from the east to the west - that and the food production is mostly in the eastern halves of these states, so there are two major levers right there
They'll be so broke mexico wont want them.
Those two states should be split East/West, not North/South for a lot of reasons including topography, climate, cultural, and political. The only question is where to set that East/West border to accurately match the differences between the two states.

Agreed 100% and it's really only downtown and a few other small pockets that have gone to shit in Portland. Should be easy to have a good quality of life here but it's all about bike lanes and virtue signalling.
