I have noticed that most of the leftys i have known tend to be really shitty people in their day to day lives, but shout the loudest to support anything that makes them look good and takes no effort, so plastering their social media with blm nonsense but not actually wanting to help people by doing anything meaningful.

Personally I think that it is a power thing. People who seek power, be it political or influence within a group, like the ability to shield themselves from behavior that would other wise be taboo. Why do you think Joe Biden gropes children in front of their parents? He knows he can get away with it because he knows that the parents are aware that Biden can end them politically on a whim.
