These morons want more cities to be like Minneapolis. They take away your police, take your guns, use YOUR tax money to protect themselves with armed security. Take away your private health insurance, take away your private education, take away your amendment rights. The government now owns you. President Trump is fighting to let you keep all these rights and yet you fight him by saying you’re fighting against his oppression? You’re asking for more fucking oppression than you’ve ever had in your life! It’s not that hard to understand.

funqueybusiness 126 points ago +126 / -0

I’ve always argued that conservatives want to give everyone the chance to be rich while democrats want to give everyone the opportunity to be poor.

This was proven true last month when someone asked the Minneapolis city council how they would respond to violent crime with no police and the councilwoman said that if you’re assaulted you should “check your privilege.”

80% of the Republican Party is corrupt and have sold out true conservative values. President Trump needs to separate and create his own party and take the real remaining republicans with him. These socialists want nothing but misery and destruction of the people meanwhile they get to enjoy all the riches they can with no one being to touch them.

32
Mammoth_Actuary 32 points ago +34 / -2

That would be disastrous. We would never win another election again.

49
Cubanpede 49 points ago +50 / -1

To be honest with you, if the republicans don’t put out a candidate close to as strong as President Trump in 2024, the republicans will likely lose. Trump is literally the entire glue holding the Republican Party together. Tucker Carlson is the next hope for the party if he wants to run.

30
AndyCuomoIsAMobster 30 points ago +31 / -1

Tucker will never run. Gaetz or Cruz would make me happy.

17
Wearyman 17 points ago +18 / -1

Indeed. I would like to see Cruz run again. I think that first run taught him a ton about running for POTUS and a second run would be successful.

9
polk_high_4_td 9 points ago +10 / -1

I think Tucker is considering it. I've seen a few articles suggesting it based on a few things they see in Washington. Any of those 3 would be good, but I think Tucker has the charisma and audience to win a Trump-sized audience. America doesn't know Gaetz, so that would be a harder sell, I think. But he's great. Jim Jordan and Tom Fitton, too.

5
Gmama2 5 points ago +5 / -0

I love Tucker, but has he ever run anything large? I prefer governors and business men/women.

1
AndyCuomoIsAMobster 1 point ago +1 / -0

Jim Jordan would be really cool to see. Haven't heard about the Tucker leads, interesting. At this point, I'd vote for any GOP that isn't an obvious Uniparty slug.

23
bill_in_texas 23 points ago +23 / -0

Agreed. Trump pragmatically looked at the situation and determined that hijacking one of the two major parties and riding it to victory was the only way to win.

Trump learned the lesson of Ross Perot's campaign. Perot was clearly the best candidate, but it didn't matter.

17
bangbus 17 points ago +17 / -0

Perot would have won if he hadn’t dropped out. He later claimed that he and his family were receiving threats and that is why he dropped out. The fake news called that a conspiracy theory. After watching the politburos in real time acting against Trump, I believe him now.

To be honest, nothing yet. Because we're a new breed of conservatism and this is our first go.

9
bill_in_texas 9 points ago +9 / -0

Be honest....we're conservative leaning populists. The fact that no one here screamed bloody murder when we just added $ 3T to the national debt and are thinking about doing that....again, tells you we aren't true conservatives.

We're gonna argue the specifics of borrowing a shitload of money everyone knows up front we can never EVER repay, and call it a day. If we were conservatives, we would have said no fucking way to the first stimulus, and no fucking way to whatever it is they are considering now.

10
kshoggi 10 points ago +10 / -0

I read a theory on here that Trump is ok with crashing the dollar, because we could then move back to gold/crypto standard and leave China with most of our worthless dollar-denominated securities.

Pipe dream but sounds nice to me.

1
bill_in_texas 1 point ago +1 / -0

The problem with that is it leave Americans who were thrifty and invested holding the bag, too, as their dollars become worthless. We don't want to become Zimbabwe.

10
bangbus 10 points ago +10 / -0

The shit right now is ultimately conservative. If the Fed doesn’t Goode the money supply we will have massive deflation and if we have another prolonged Great Depression level economic setback the liberals will absolutely install a Chinese style communism. The Fed and Trump are holding back a massive deluge. It cost a lot to win WWII and this shit right now is just as big and important.

7
BlackJack 7 points ago +7 / -0

Correct, we ARE at war. This is a psy-ops globalist-communist insurrection.

6
BlackJack 6 points ago +6 / -0

The alternative would be a great depression and Trump's election chances that much worse. Pragmatism is important.

3
DeafMute 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thanks for bringing up the bailout. It's a terrible policy that will have disastrous consequences. Fiscal conservatism is dead, and whichever party is in power will now have a free hand to run up the federal tab to bail out or pay off their constituencies.

Yet it was politically brilliant for the President. I do not think the Democrats expected him to run to the left of them when they sprang the shut down, and not doing so would have doomed his 2020 candidacy for certain.

2
Wtf_socialismreally 2 points ago +2 / -0

The bailout is unfortunate, but it's to keep the country afloat. With these lockdowns, it was absolutely unheard of. Millions of people were, and are, teetering on an edge.

Is it great? No. But it's better than almost everyone crashing. There are a lot of businesses that simply aren't going to come back after this.

Money can be remade by the government over time. Brands are hard to make. Jobs can be hard to be kept. Money is rough to make right now.

Besides, fiscal conservatism isn't really what the term conservative means, though it can be a trait of conservatism.

6
jarvis 6 points ago +6 / -0

There would never be a conservative in any office again if the Republican party split.

Since 2016, we should have been doing all we could to infiltrate and encourage Bernie supporters to split and form their own socialist party. The 2016 DNC was the perfect time to do it. At the same time we should be trying to completely reform the GOP and bring the libertarian party back.

5
Notablitheringidiot 5 points ago +10 / -5

conservative

Need to drop that limp-dick term.

5
spezisacuckold 5 points ago +8 / -3

100%.

What exactly have conservatives conserved? Pretty sure almost everything conservatives have tried to conserve has slowly been eroded, never to be restored. “Conservatism” implies no movement — stagnation. I want rightward movement and action to restore our rights, enforce equal justice and liberty.

7
russianbot4673 7 points ago +7 / -0

the fuck 'conserve' means 'not move'. it means preserve something that's good, meaning the constitution. to do that you'd need to move right. obviously. nothing about the word conserve has anything to do with moving or not moving. it's not progress vs stagnation. it means keeping the things we hold sacred in place. which has nothing to do with stagnation

5
spezisacuckold 5 points ago +5 / -0

Well then “conservatives” have shown everybody an extremely piss poor example of how to protect the things they allegedly “hold sacred”.

-1
russianbot4673 -1 points ago +1 / -2

seriously though, what totally badass name are you going to call yourself since conservative is so limp dick, and what exactly are you going to do to earn it? i'd love to know. and actually you're implying this is a generational thing so it's not just you, what is your totally badass generation going to do to earn whatever you call yourselves?

-1
russianbot4673 -1 points ago +1 / -2

what the fuck do you want your mommy and daddy to do? pick up guns and go kill liberals? were they supposed to go murder everyone in hollywood and over at nickelodeon? were they supposed to go string up all the college professors who've been brainwashing the past few generations? better question- what the fuck are YOU doing? it's real fuckin convenient to go pointing the finger

2
russianbot4673 2 points ago +2 / -0

ok and what are you going to do to earn that? besides voting on trump? trump wasnt doing a serious run for presidency in the past, so the 'conservatives' who've been around didn't have him to vote on. it doesn't make the younger generation better simply because trump decided to run. they didn't do that, he did.

1
russianbot4673 1 point ago +2 / -1

it has a meaning. i mean if you want to get in the business of retarded ass flashy branding and word games like the liberals do fine but you're going to have to do better than 'drop that limp dick term' to convince those of us with brains who aren't interested in looking hip and cool for the fucking kids.

2
Notablitheringidiot 2 points ago +2 / -0

Let me put it this way then. If we try and “conserve” America as it stands right now it means easy access to abortion, mass third world immigration, whole states where the 2nd amendment barely applies, red tape that could reach from here to the sun and back, fiat money, and a major political part that is literally seditious. Would you want to “conserve” any of that?

0
russianbot4673 0 points ago +1 / -1

that's a really fucking stupid argument. conservatives have been around since before the left infiltrated everything (perfectly legally) and got elected (perfectly legally) into congress, presidency, etc, and moved the country left. the word conservative does NOT imply that you are talking about conserving whatever exists in the present. and you either know that which means you're knowingly strawmanning in a pathetic attempt to 'win' here, or you're a fool. conservatives want to preserve the spirit of the constitution and to do that first we need to go back to it, fucking obviously.

0
russianbot4673 0 points ago +1 / -1

but hey, if being part of the younger generation (assuming) that got to vote for trump as one of your earliest votes in life makes you feel like YOU and your generation personally accomplished something, go ahead and lie to yourself some more. previous generations didn't have a trump to vote on. him deciding to run is no fucking accomplishment of yours. without him, you and your generation would be just as 'do nothing' as you types constantly accuse 'boomers' or whoever of being. and half of you are becoming fucking trannies. what a fucking disgrace.

1
sleepinggiant 1 point ago +1 / -0

Honestly as someone who is not a republican, republicans do this shit to themselves. They have their own purity spiral that they go down until they segregate themselves into a losing faction. A lot of the people who voted for Trump won't vote for another republican because of this.

That's absolutely what they have done in Los Angeles.

The liberal elite remain safe behind their gated walls, with their legion of private security (whose funding is something like 8x the LAPD), using the urban poor as a moat. Meanwhile, they do their very best to disarm and drag the middle class into that hellhole to undermine any that might oppose them.

14
Cubanpede 14 points ago +15 / -1

This is what socialist do, they destroy anyone that isn’t part of their government. Not even the rich are safe from them. They run on the back of greed and jealousy.

14
Pats5x 14 points ago +14 / -0

And guess what? The national GOP is complicit. We wouldn't have much of this crap, and it wouldn't be gaining steam, if the national GOP actually supported MAGA candidates in the 2018 primaries. The GOP shunned most candidates strongly aligned with Trump when there was a "safe", globallist neocon rino candidate. Guess what, the rinos get destroyed in 2018. And now we have Portland and a Congress denouncing everything Trump does - or at the minimum not supporting anything he does

4

That points to one of the biggest problems. Who are the people most likely to write the notes/letters, show up at the town/city council meetings and school board meetings? Who are the people most likely to get up the petitions?

Yes, yes, I know right-wing people have work, family, just want to be left alone...but in the process you've allowed the lefties to take over your cities. They are the squeaky wheels.

They started innocently enough -- butterfly gardens and all that, those are nice, but now it's 'DEFUND THE POLICE...OR WE'LL RIOT!'.

Time to take the time to make sure you have work, home, family and can in the future just be left alone.

2
bobobob 2 points ago +2 / -0

We need to have the same level of organization. I didn't even know about this petition until it was already closed. I did write my city council member, but he is hell-bent on destroying the police department. His response might've been different had we had an organized group of people writing emails to oppose this change.

The left has plenty of groups able to organize and mobilize people around their views. We have virtually nothing on our side to represent our views. We should be using Twitter, Facebook, and this site (or another .win) to coordinate against the left's lunacy and to represent our views in city and state governments.

1
operator1214 1 point ago +1 / -0

Around here, the progressives know when every town or school board meeting is -- because the librarians are allies, they get to hold meetings in the library every week for free and have planning sessions.

They are NOT using social media that often (this should tell you something). It's more in person communication; although there is an online presence.

They are also affiliated with DNC/Soros backed groups and can/do receive funding. They do push their preferred candidates at the small local levels -- town/school boards, county assessor, county judge; hell, even dogcatcher. They are actively trying to win small elections so they can determine local policy, then state, then federal. That's the plan now. They are building up some presence.

And yes, they started out (and still maintain) doing things like community beautification projects and the like which is a great PR stunt, keeps the community thinking they're "nice folks". This is also how they get funding as well -- the local donations are not always going to their stated projects!

They are also in contact with radical communist groups from the state universities -- BLM/Antifa and others...they regularly attend "talks and seminars" given by these groups (even now, with Zoom)...the talks and seminars are often cloaked as educational talks, but it's the meet n greets afterwards where all the real talking is going on.

They are bussed to protests in larger cities; there's always a sign-up sheet (these are the "Mommies and Daddies" by the way; they actively plan this sort of thing). They take very innocent looking pics and vids...and send them to the local papers and on local social media -- PR.

This is happening all over the country: these groups are connected to each other and do communicate...usually through private chats and e-mails. It's remarkably sophisticated. And no, conservatives etc. have nothing like it.

By the way...where in God's green earth would be safe to exit to if the country goes down the tubes? Which, I'm pretty sure it will -- these bastards got quite the scare in 2016, they've had to speed up their plans -- they'll go full throttle if Biden wins, and that could very likely mean civil war. There's a housing and selling boom here in AZ. In one rando encounter I bumped into a guy at Subway who was literally coming off the road and moving into their new house - purchased sight unseen. He closed in 3 days. He was fleeing Virginia.

It's funny because in the next year or so I want to bug out to the high-desert because I've been in the Valley of the Sun for 12 years and want a change of scenery (already dipped a toe in the Verde Valley previously with an RV at a long-term facility), the heat, and of course - I see this as a trend of even more expensive housing in the future.

On the plus side there's still tracts of development that were 'on hold' since the 2008 meltdown which will find new life, and the West Valley will find some new blood. The East Valley is limited by military bases and reservations so most of their growth is to the SE - which is a bit distant from the core. There's lots of room to grow on the West-side and the outerbelt is coming along nicely.

1959, last year a Republican was Mayor of Minneapolis. Democrats are the only ones responsible for the current problems Minneapolis are facing. They also have complete control of the city counsel as well. Not a single conservative is on it and its been that way for 30 plus years.

6
Recaptcha 6 points ago +6 / -0

One problem here is their city council is filled with garbage humans, and those garbage humans are making decisions on things they shouldn’t be. The council members have private security and are making 130,000$ a year. They have a power trip issue right now thinking they are right and should really only be making decisions about if a stop sign should get replaced. It’s fucked if those 8 cunts are going to make a decision to defund the police in a city as large as Minneapolis. They should be ran out of town on a rail.

Anyone living in Minneapolis who cares about living in a stable and safe city should move out as soon as possible. I saw this exact same thing in the 1970s in Newark, NJ. Newark was once an old, beautiful city. Then the riots of 1972 happened and the city was never the same. A downward spiral, out of control crime and proverty, and major companies and businesses moved out of the city. Some parts of the city remained livable, but the city was never the same.

You will notice that Newark had about two days of protesting back in June with no looting or rioting. It took 4 decades for Newark to learn that rioting accomplishes nothing.

The point of defunding the police is to insert "community people" that can be politically chosen. This is how the brown shirts replaced the police and became the gestapo.

Worth noting that this doesn't reflect the "good" winning in Minneapolis. Someone else posted the source... (https://lims.minneapolismn.gov/clerkfile/CF-2020-00007) I just skimmed through the comments from Jul 20 and Jul 3-9, but MOST are upset that there is any delay at all and want police gone SOONER.

Most of the complaints aren't saying getting rid of the police is dangerous and makes it scarier for residents, they're saying the delay is unacceptable and they want to "divest" (I hate that leftist buzzword, they use it to tie it to BDS) from the police department.
