Still don't know anyone personally with the China virus...this is a massive hoax

27
chuckachookah 27 points ago +28 / -1

I know 4, sort of (only one is a family member and like several connections away)

  • 1 of the 4 was over 90. They were pretty frail last year and had two hospital visits that were close calls. They have various underlying health conditions. Sadly, they passed
  • 1 of the 4 was over 80. They had heart issues already. But, they recovered.
  • 1 of the 4 was over 61. They were pretty bad off for 3 days with "flu-like" symptoms). They recovered.
  • 1 of the 4 was 19. They didn't even know they had it. They thought they were having some bad allergies (which they already have).

Small sample size, but seems like how an ailment/virus/disease might effective any population of people.

I only knew one - my grandfather in one of Cuomo's nursing homes... he passed.

My other grandfather also passed... due to the "house arrest" and loneliness since he was very afraid of the virus.

Sorry for both you’re losses, fren.

Thanks!

Sounds like you should get a class action lawsuit going for the wrongful death with Cuomo as the defendant.

Fake noose

Madman55 11 points ago +20 / -9

Its not a hoax,, but I do not think we should shut down society for it

I am 33 and had it for 5 days. It was like a 5 day flue but definetly its own thing. Not too bad for me but A month later and my taste hasn't returned.

My girlfriend and roomate both have it now at 38 and 37 respectively and they have it much worse. They are on week 2 of moderate symptoms including severe fatigue, confusion, vomiting, headache, sore throat, no taste/smell. My roomate went to the er yesterday with shortness of breath and erratic heart rate. Covid really sucks for them.

There is no doubt the virus is real. The lethality of it is the primary question.

Given that all of Europe is back open with no masks or closures it's extremely obvious this whole thing in the US is purely political. Fear pushed by the MSM working with the DNC to try and hamstring Trump's campaign and economy.

If Hillary had been in office this would have been a non-issue MONTHS ago.

FUCK career politicians, that includes the do nothing republicans that have been sitting in the corner watching the country slowly swirl down the communist toilet.

Why is this no taste thing everywhere all of a sudden. Rona has been going around for 7 months and now today, I hear this taste and smell thing like 15 times, for the first day ever.

Did no one realize this or did I just slip.through the cracks somehow?

14
ippwndu 14 points ago +14 / -0

This has been a symptom, perhaps the symptom, for months.

7
Freeandbrown 7 points ago +7 / -0

Agreed. Like someone below already stated ... fever and shortness of breath were probably the top contenders for "if you had covid" but at the same time, they are also common to the flu and pneumonia. The oddball out was losing sense of taste and smell. There wasn't that many overlaps with other illnesses.

So if I had a fever and lost sense of taste and smell - I'd be pretty sure I had sars-cov2.

2
Furaffinitydotnet 2 points ago +2 / -0

What about Covid Toes?

1
ProphetOfKek 1 point ago +1 / -0

I heard about that a couple of months back.

1
SirSeizureSalad 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'd argue fever and difficulty breathing would be the top two. Followed by lethargy, etc. I've just never heard anyone say they couldn't taste or smell.

4
Sandman441 4 points ago +4 / -0

It was reported pretty close to the beginning of the shut down.

1
SirSeizureSalad 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ya, a lot of people are saying that. I just legit don't remember ever hearing it.

And I watch and read a ton of news, it's been a very Berenstein Bears day for me today.

2
Tiquortoo 2 points ago +2 / -0

People have been talking about it and it's been on the symptom list since basically day one of the lockdowns in the US. Mid March or so.

Have you ever had a bad allergy or cold that stopped your ability to smell anything? well when that happens the sense of taste goes too making food bland to the tongue. So a virus that damages the sinuses, where the smelling receptors are, can hamper the sense of taste as well.

Now why it would seemingly come out of nowhere, I don't have an answer for.

5
NoSteppy2020 5 points ago +9 / -4

Yeah, nahhh. They may have covid, but none of those symptoms are covid related. Yeah they may be sick, but confusion? Come on man. Get real. They are dehydrated and probably fairly un healthy.

The no taste smell isn't a thing either. All respiratory illness affects tears and smell. It is a covid symptom, its a "80% of your taste come from your nose" thing.

8
Kael 8 points ago +8 / -0

Every cold I've ever had in my life that gave me a stuffy nose affected my taste and smell. It isn't a scary symptom or anything uncommon.

Come on people.

jimboonie 4 points ago +4 / -0

I hate the term Hoax - it makes me sound like a flat-earther or something. I'm not denying COVID is real. The "Hoax" is the lethality of it and how it's being used to push agendas.

2
Sandman441 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm 39 and started to get a pretty bad cough and I went to a sauna for 2 days for about an hour and I was fine in 3 days. Only reason I think I had it was cause I lose taste and smell for 24 hours.

4
dookiebot 4 points ago +4 / -0

I know 2 families. As in, both families all got it about the same time.

Family 1- Mother Father, 5 kids. The mom's reaction to it was "Meh. Flu was worse."

Family 2- Mother father and 1 kid. The mother and kid are fine now but the father has been out of work for 2 weeks. But he is way overweight and eats nothing but Whataburger and Churches chicken 2-3 times a day. So go figure.

3
TNpedefosho 3 points ago +3 / -0

My family got it.

My mom had a medium fever and aches for 10 days. She said it was the worst sickness she’s ever had. My dad got a mild fever and a cough. No other symptoms. My sisters lost their sense of smell with a very mild fever.

This is a stupid virus that should never have shut people down. Just stay home if you’re sick !

Is anyone surprised? The left has gone full on scorched earth and they are all in to take Trump out or ruin the country in the process just to protect the corrupt Elite class.

DO IT

13
OMBOMB 13 points ago +13 / -0

Go straight to a Grand Jury. No-test positives, 100% positives, etc.

10
pursuitoftruth1776 10 points ago +10 / -0

This goes back to the very beginning of this "pandemic." Truth is, even with their inflated numbers it cannot even be classified as a pandemic anymore. But I have the feeling without the fake numbers it wouldn't have EVER qualified to be a pandemic. We can't let this just be another 9/11, Epstein murder, etc. where nothing happens. They WAY overplayed their hand by affecting every American's life with this bullshit.

One weird thing I have noticed is that some people say they know no one who has had the virus. I personally know of no one who has had it. Then there are other people that know 15 people who have had the virus. I guess it may be due to location but its just strange. I have been wondering this for months now.

5
Vegans4Trump 5 points ago +5 / -0

Same here, and I've spent the last 2 months travelling, visiting family and friends, not social distancing whatsoever, going out to restaurants etc. And I never caught the virus or known anyone who has. And I visited family members who work at the hospital directly with covid patients, and none of them got it either

4
silflay 4 points ago +5 / -1

It just isn’t that easy to catch it. You have to be in close, continued contact with an infected person. Hospital workers are, but they obviously take necessary precautions.

Going out into public and walking through someone’s breath cloud, which may or may not have some viral particles in it, is not going to get you infected.

But somehow we’re at a point where passers by on a park trail cover their nose and mouth and act like the air is saturated in concentrated covid.

Damn right!

5
deeluna 5 points ago +5 / -0

Think that's bad, recently the local hospital to me had sent some "samples" in that hadn't touched a patient. and they came back positive for Corona virus. They literally opened the packs and then immediately dropped them into the envelope to send to the labs. How does something test positive if it doesn't even have a sample?

5
JeremyB 5 points ago +5 / -0

how about we just list everyone as positive and get on with things....the fear and stupidity in this country is mind numbing

3
PropagandaWizard1984 3 points ago +3 / -0

Pedes please expand your minds and learn what a "Black Box System" is. These tests use this concept to cheat, voting machines, and mail in voting also gain from this concept.

In science, computing, and engineering, a black box is a device, system or object which can be viewed in terms of its inputs and outputs (or transfer characteristics), without any knowledge of its internal workings. Its implementation is "opaque" (black).

RedDon 3 points ago +3 / -0

Just like those not voting by mail will check ‘democrat’ in their mail in ballots.

ArcticPharaoh 3 points ago +3 / -0

FINISH THEM RON!

3
Willy 3 points ago +3 / -0

It is happening in many more states than just Florida

2
Data 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm relieved DeSantis is taking this seriously. I've been approached by friends and neighbors recently, totally unsolicited, who told me their personal stories of receiving positive COVID tests despite never visiting a testing center or leaving early for various reasons (long lines). I thought this was mostly an online phenomenon but it got disturbingly real and local for me over the last 2 weeks. And this is just ONE of the many ways they're manipulating the numbers for political purposes. It must stop!

Well this is awesome I'm glad that Florida Governor DeSantis made this decision.

Hulk Up Ronnie, bring these shitheads to justice. Their hoax test results have the same effect as looting a business.

1
jimboonie 1 point ago +1 / -0

Go get 'em, Ron! About damn time.

1
G_regulator 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is some sort of fuckery right? It looks like a duck, walk like a duck and quacks like a duck, well it's fuckery like a duckery yeah?

1
LoadedMonk 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's no different than mail in voting. They're faking tests to inflate numbers drastically because the virus is fading fast.

1
txladyvoter 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sic 'em!
