Pretty sure for two reasons. To give governors who do not want to shut down their state the optic that everything is under control. We all know the CCP funded American MSM is pushing for us to shut down again and the governors need to play politics. Second reason- because if Orange Man Bad says masks are good, there will be rabid MSM journalists and SM "influencers" who will publicly decry that masks are useless because they won't be able to help themselves. They hate Trump and us that much.
He did say HCQ worked and they banned prescribing it, so maybe he is telling people to mask up so people scream, “No! Masks are useless!” and they end this BS. You might be on to something
Based on the HCQ reaction - which is insane to the point of literally letting thousands die because Orange Man Bad - I'm thinking this might be accurate. It occurred to me yesterday that he & DeVos strongly encouraging kids going back to school in person might have actually been reverse psychology to deter it. I've been worrying that it may be unsafe for them to go back, not because of the virus but because of the election. I think the left is going to continue to escalate attacks on Trump and the American people from now until the election and who knows what they may inflict on us next. And regardless of who wins, I believe all hell's going to break loose on November 4th. So maybe the kids can go back in January.
