https://unlockmichigan.com - get petitions to sign for initiating legislation to repeal the 1945 emergency act that whitmer is using for indefinite emergency powers. Non-vetoable if successful and passed by legislature.

Praise_kek 19 points ago +19 / -0

Share that link with everyone you know. And again on the 29th. There are many petitions/sign up websites for the recall but THIS is the only official state recall petition.

4
Hombre29 4 points ago +4 / -0

Too many people think that online petitions like change.org count. I had to inform my own parents that these recall petitions require a wet signature.

Don’t just sign it, get everyone you know to sign it. Take it to church with you, take it everywhere you go and get everyone to sign. It’s the only way to pressure these assholes.

Our Texas Governor also caved in like a slimy weasel.

Think about it carefully.

You dont have to wear a face mask at open restaurants. But next door (literally) at Walmart you must?

People at restaurants are less than 3 feet from each other yet no face masks. Walmart this giant store requires them?

The punishment in my mind that is required for all these traitors and obviously hateful leaders and business is too extreme.

Oh. Yeah. "If you can't maintain a 6 foot distance then wear a mask " Now, "maintain a 6 foot distance but wear a useless mask too." "14 days to flatten the curve" my ass.

I wear a mask into certain stores because they've started putting security guards outside to turn you away if you don't have one.

And I wear a mask at work because it's the policy.

Not everyone wearing one supports it or thinks it does anyone any good. The 7/11 by my house doesn't enforce it and most people that go in there don't wear one.

I'm not going to let this convince me to "lose faith in Americans" or believe they can't think for themselves. People will put up with things to a certain point when fighting it doesn't accomplish anything.

I'm not going to sacrifice my job over this mask thing or search for a grocery store that doesn't enforce it when I have a perfectly good one right in town.

Especially when I know damn well that it'll go away after November. Every time I have to put the damned thing on I end up smiling, because it reminds me that it's one more reason why Trump will be reelected.

I feel your pain. Our asshole Governor in NC is also a Democrat. Naturally he is citing the "rising cases" and "increasing hospitalizations" while the daily death rate quietly continues to fall, unreported by the media. We have the statewide mask order here as well, and I don't see it ever being repealed, because you know--"if we can save just one life."

There is a no mask grass roots organization here. I'm going to join that to try to push back, but there are so many sheeple going along with it that it will be hard to change people's minds.

In the meantime, the good thing is that my favorite butcher shop has curbside pickup, as does the beer store. With enough meat and beer, everything will be OK.

Take a deep breath, 'pede. We'll get through this.

There is a ligit "Unlock Michigan " petition gathering signatures right now .Go to the website and find out how to sign. This petition would limit Wretched Gretchen's ability to issue arbitrary mandates and make them go through the Legislature to be voted on. As of now she found a loophole from WW 2 emergency power act that she's been using. This petition is to end that loophole and reel her in. I feel you buddy. I hate that my fellow citizens are so weak minded to not question the lack of science being used here. I have gone mask less all of this time , then Gretchen made store owners responsible for mask rules , with the threat that THEY could be penalized. Possibly lose their business licenses. Her latest stunt is to tell businesses to ignore people who have a legit medical condition advising against wearing one due to health concerns . She more or less said "Don't believe them" .Bitch.

8
WishdoctorsSong 8 points ago +8 / -0

Worth noting this petition needs a lower number of signatures to get than the repeal petition and is more palatable to democrats since it's not directly trying to oust their party. This is a really good backup plan to have if the repeal fails.

Fellow Michiganpede, I hear you. Masks are now a talisman + shibboleth for doing any in-person commerce in our state. I'm not afraid of the virus and I don't want to participate in their fear-worship in any way, but my family does need to eat.

So though it's a relatively 'beta' solution, in addition to doing what I can to push repeal and recall petitions, I now superficially begin donning a mask on entry to adamant stores then wear it in 'fully under chin' mode or sometimes the 'too stupid to put it over my nose' mode. No one has given me any complaint about it yet since I still effectively register as "one of us, one of us".

Given that masks are all being completely misused by design, you can 'do it wrong' 9 times out of 10 and still get by. Just look at the workers in any fast food store. They aren't paid enough to put up with this shit, and as a customer paying for the goods that I need to live, neither am I.

Before 2020, I thought I knew who my neighbors were and had a sense for what they believed; that they held shared values keeping us together. I look around now and wonder, who are you people? Do you not care about anything that has made America what it is? I know as a Christian, this is not my real home, but never before have I so viscerally felt like a foreigner in my own land.

"For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come." Heb 13:14

Back in April and May, I was quite anxious about the virus, but now I no longer care.

Having been called a Nazi, a toothless garbage person, and the dregs of society for several years, I'm no longer sensitive to nasty remarks when it comes to not wearing a mask or wearing it "incorrectly." Liberals love to name call and shame, it's just what they do. God help them.

3
tufftoffee 3 points ago +3 / -0

Only God can help them because they sure aren't helping themselves engaging with Lucifer. They may not believe in Satan, but Satan sure believes in them.

5
redpirsig 5 points ago +5 / -0

Nice comparison to a talisman. It really is. Everyone wear a mask because the virus is so deadly no one knows if they have it and this magic mask prevents transmission. Pay no attention to the lack of any mask quality standards, or biohazard disposal bins, or the pictures of people vaping and exhaling with a mask on...

philnmdg 11 points ago +11 / -0

I just came from our local Walmart and yes, I wore a mask as “ordered”. I saw all kinds of people not wearing masks. I asked the lady at the front end of store if they were enforcing their mask policy. She told me that they can’t enforce it because a person could have a medical condition that keeps them from wearing one and that Walmart cannot ask the customer why they are not wearing one because of HIPPA laws.

Now, I’m sorry, but Walmart knew they could not enforce it, so why did they even bother making a statement about wearing masks in their store? I’ll tell you why..... PUBLICITY!

edit: Winn Dixie does not require masks. I'll be shopping there from now on.

I'm in Portland today and people wear them on the street in a scene out of a zombie movie. I saw a guy on the deck of his condo, 5 stories up wearing one reading his ipad. Most shops are closed here. I live 10 miles away in a suburb and life is almost normal. Everything open, people dining in. It's crazy.

The riots spread it hard in the city, but they won't admit it.

10
MythArcana 10 points ago +10 / -0

Probably, because Walmart just mandated mask usage.

3

I would, but my medical condition is I'm allergic to bullshit.

8
stepping_razor123 8 points ago +8 / -0

Thank you for the update. This is an issue that causes me much distress as well. My wife refuses to wear one in the stores, I'm proud of her.

I hope we can see the battle that President Trump is up against. Our society has become so weak over the last 50 years (it started with the Boomers and all their degeneracy and has intensified the last 20 years).

President Trump has to unite and lead a country of brainwashed scared selfish sheep.

But yay economy, who needs freedom when billionaires get richer. Bezos made 13 billion in a day.

4
tufftoffee 4 points ago +4 / -0

On the bright side a walmart employee leaked the Health Ambassador manual. They can't refuse service of someone not wearing a mask. All you have to do is refuse twice and they should let you in. You don't even need an exemption excuse (medical, religious, age). The guards can't show any aggression, no physical blocking, touching, or disrespect.

Edit: here is the manual. If someone can point me to a not-cucked image uploader that supports albums I'll make it it's own post. https://imgur.com/gallery/Yf60wgY

We're in the same boat (Michigan pede here as well). I pretty much only go to the gas station now (the owners and workers are all based).. my wife even though she disagrees with the order has a profession that's public so she wears a mask since it could destroy her business if she didnt, she's been doing all the other shopping lately.

When I do go out I still don't wear one and like you said 99% of people are, it's honestly just sad to me. It made me realize there's no one who's going to stand up for anything anymore. We all like to think there are all these patriots willing to stand up for what they believe and will stop unjust laws, government over reach, etc. yet most people are willing to go full Islam and wear a face covering just because the media and government tell them to do so.

My son is the only other one who I personally know who hasn't donned a mask yet, we're in a sort of competition now to see who will have to bend the knee first honestly my moneys on him winning though, that boy is as stubborn as they come with his beliefs.

This also has made me realize my family and I need to get right with God and that's why we've become regular members of a church in the last few weeks. I grew up Baptist, let religion slide in my adult life, this stuff is too real now though to ignore.

It's a double edged sword. You don't want all the power in the hands of the federal gov because eventually you're going to end up with a Gretchen in the white house and when that happens you're gonna want your state to have power to make their own decisions.

4
Pepega 4 points ago +4 / -0

meyers in my area, very blue, was about 33% no mask

4
Gabbs1212 4 points ago +4 / -0

Walmart nationally has gone full mask. The shop happens to be next to it, which made it convenient. I'm done. Other grocery store in town, same thing. Fuel station I used to go to (and also for Cope)....same. (Good side of NY, as far from that shithole NYC as you can get, without leaving the state)

They have all lost my business. Thousands and thousands of dollars that I would throw at these stores. Moved my beef order up with my grower, picked up 30 chickens from him Sunday, and sent my wife to the farmers market today. Fuck 'em. I'll go ultra local, just to get around this shit.

I refuse to comply, and be forced into wearing a muzzle. If i walk in and get yelled at for not having one, I'll never shop there again. I've got cash to spend, and will have no issues getting through the winter with what I can stock up on this summer/fall.

3
Visceroth 3 points ago +3 / -0

I went to meijer this week instead of walmart. They also had a person at the door forcing masks but at least didnt have the nationwide policy announcement. As soon as I got past him my mask was lowered but did protect my chin the whole time I was there.

Saw more people pulling masks off as soon as they left the store than not. It's the $500 fine threat that is pushing compliance.

3
slimcoat 3 points ago +3 / -0

Same thing happened to me recently. I've recently been suspecting that I have asthma and my doctor even prescribed an inhaler, so I've been using that here and there.

But for the most part I've started wearing a Trump 2020 mask and other Trump gear. Coming out of the closet in my community. I see so many people get triggered because they no longer know what to say.

The best thing? I've gotten nothing but positive comments from people. Some have told me I'm brave, but I tell them that I'm wearing this stuff so that people like them know that WE are everywhere.

For those in Michigan: the latest Whitmer order still includes an exclusion for "cannot medically tolerate a face covering". Exec Order 2020-147, pg 3 bullet point 2.b.

I keep a copy on my phone for quick reference. IIRC the previous orders did not include "medically", just stated "unable to wear".

Part of the current issue is some local health departments are mandating masks without any exclusions. We found we can only go to restaurants on one side of the street (local boundry). Just silly to wear a mask for 20 feet, from door to table.

VA: This fat-lookin, sleeveless, tatted up, totally unprofessional looking fucker and a lady were under the tent by the entrance asking if we had masks. Nope, asthma X 2 (kind of a tiny bit true, but in a much more real sense not at all, Lord forgive me for this fib). He didn't say anything and just kinda stared at me as I scooted on by with my wife and babies. Fuckin goon. There was probably a 70/30 split of wears/non-wearers inside. Stay armed, keep it real, and Lord help us. Good luck up there.

I started wearing one the other day for the first time. It’s uncomfortable, and above all you can tell it does nothing. You can feel the air passing through the least resistance (gaps on the side and around the nose).

I conceal carry, and I don’t want to stick out of the crowd. I’ll blend in, but people have to know deep down it’s bs.

Regardless a private business can dictate it, and refuse service for any reason, or not give you one. Be safe, brother.

2
VoidWanderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

and refuse service for any reason,

They must make exceptions or accommodations for anyone with a disability or chronic illness. It may result in you having to list off what you need and then someone gets the items for you, but they cannot refuse you if you have a medical issue that prevents you from wearing one.

The thing is, the very notion that Trump can stop Gretchen is wrong. Power flows the opposite way in the US, and we need everyone to wake up to that fact again. The higher up you get in the government, the more people you depend on to allow you to use their power to do the things that they want you to do.

It's like Goku and the Spirit Bomb.

All we all need to do is when Gretchen raises up her arms and calls out to all the voters for the strength to defeat Free-za, everyone just goes "No, fuck you. I'm going to give all my power to your Conservative Opponent instead."

Every Conservative always needs to vote for the most conservative option, even if they're not perfect. Every Conservative needs to put things on the line to civilly disobey unconstitutional, unlawful, unjust overreach. It's a shit ton of work and risk, but it must be done. It is the only way. For the Government to come in and remove her just shifts all that power even higher up, further capsizing the already fucked up power pyramid.

I was wondering what others may have experienced by not putting on the muzzle in public. In Colorado little Jarid had to join the other libtards, now I don't know if I want to even go get milk today just so I can avoid the sheep. I have masks but I don't want to wear one its pointless.

2
VoidWanderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

I was wondering what others may have experienced by not putting on the muzzle in public.

Went to Publix in Florida today for weekly shopping. Walked in without one, no one said anything about it. The various managers just nodded or gave a "good afternoon" type greeting and the guy at checkout didn't even make a joke, just the normal banter that they always do. (Find everything? etc) There were a total of 4 of us in the store without a mask on. A random middle aged guy, a very old couple that looked like they'd suffocate if they tried to wear one, and myself.

Granted I have a medical out if anyone tried to bring it up but it seems like every store has the same, "don't ask because if there's a medical reason we don't want you starting anything" clause told to the employees.

Unfortunately not much choice in Michigan anymore. Where I live half the stores was mask less until Gretchen's latest order. Now, there is security at the door. And as much as I don't want to wear a mask, I'm not going to be a dick to employees that are forced by the Government to enforce it. Especially the small businesses. So I have caved. I do feel really bad for the employees and business owners put in this position and for the people that really can not wear a mask and get dirty looks (or worse) for it. Luckily I am not far from Indiana so I can still get down there now and then to enjoy dangerous activities such as bowling or shopping in a gas station without a mask.
